A client of mine shared some sage advice she received from a friend: “You do not have to make a decision if it isn’t a “HELL YEAH!!” I could have hugged her in that moment. It was advice someone (i.e., me) needed to hear and I wanted to share it with you.

“I, Tracey Lynnelle Rogers, do solemnly swear, to embrace all that I am; to be all that I am, unapologetically; to live fully in the present moment; to embody a great love; to exude a great love; to awaken great love in those I meet, and in all that I do. May it be so.”
I come to you with a very simple message this week. It is a message about manifesting. It is a message that has been impressed upon me time and time again. It is a message that I hope will bring relief to anyone feeling stuck.
It is during this time of year that I usually begin to reflect on the year itself, and how I wish to enter the next new cycle. There is always something that marks my experience, something that greatly influences what I hope to manifest as the Earth takes another spin around the Sun. But 2018 has been quite unique…
“Nothing is more important than our relationship to the truth. It might temporarily demolish us. It might rip from us the false comfort of our delusions. It might make us reframe every aspect of our lives. But it will never, ever hold us from our purpose; from a life lived with depth, meaning, and incredible magic. It will knock us off the pedestals we’ve been unfairly placed upon, but it will never let us down.” ~Chani Nicholas

I witnessed a breakthrough with a client last week, who realized how capable she was of successfully pursuing her own dreams to open a vegan restaurant, without leaning too heavily on the counsel of supposed mentors. I met with another client last week, who vented frustrations around the continual shock and surprise she would receive in response to her decision to leave a high paying corporate job, and become a passionate nutritionist instead. Another client last week, who lives a curiosity driven life and has several purposes, shared feelings of isolation because she did not fit a certain mold. And a fourth client was simply trying to “live and let live,” as she said in her own words, without so many forced expectations. "Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you." Marianne Williamson
How often do you reflect on what you wish to cultivate in your life, clear on the decisions that need to be made, and the changes that need to occur? Do you ever pause to consider all the possibilities? Or do you reject your dreams, writing them off until they are hidden from view? I would argue that the majority of people, myself included, block abundance in life. Most times, it is never our conscious doing. In fact, the act of self-sabotage usually happens when we are close to success. The more clients I coach, the more I see the pattern, and the root cause stems from low self-worth. The Winter Solstice will be unlike any other to date. Preparation for the long dark night will continue as tradition foretells, but this dark night comes with added weight. You are most likely feeling it already, as the rules of law and land in our society are turned upside down, wreaking havoc both nationally in the U.S., and internally. Life as we know it will continue to change; this, I can say with certainty. Astrological omens paint a clear picture, and if you are not a professional astrologer, you can still feel it. The rumble is real – you are not imagining things. The long dark night is upon us. Only time will tell how, when, and if we resurface.
“The 'American Dream' ... you have to be asleep to believe it.” G. Carlin
My clientele has increased over the past few months; I seem to be coaching more and more people. I was recently asked if I thought it had anything to do with a “wellness trend” expanding in the self-help world, and my response was no… it is because of Donald Trump. Ever since the shock of last year’s presidential election, we have all had to sit with grave uncertainty. Those who voted for Trump anxiously await the controversial changes he promised throughout his campaign, while those who did not vote for Trump anxiously await this country’s ruin – no matter your vote, genuine unease prevails over us all. Last week, I challenged you to call out that spade, and to play your cards on the side of truth. That challenge still stands. We are entering choppy waters as we approach the end of 2017. The Universe will be encouraging us (or nagging, pressuring, and pushing, depending on how willing you are to heed its call) to hold steadfast in what is true regarding important actions that need to be taken. The planet Mercury links up to Saturn this week, a tough combination that grounds us in hard facts and reality. When Mercury turns retrograde next week, a period of reviews, reassessments, and continued conversations will ensue.
