As I write this last batch of weekly horoscopes for 2014, I can’t help but reflect on just how crappy this year has been for many of us. Don’t get me wrong; there were plenty of amazing opportunities and adventures to cherish, and I know to count my blessings. But overall, this year has been rather dense, and I’m looking forward to offloading some excess weight.

I may be self critical, but I’m equally merciful.
I don’t believe it to be a coincidence that a New Moon fell on Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. In keeping with solstice tradition journeying deep into the trenches of our darkest parts, how convenient for the cosmos to gift us with a New Moon, a symbol of hope for the future. The spring season is now just a few months away, and each day will get longer from here on out; the light of the Sun will shine a little brighter. But until then, we must sit with and embrace the shadow of the night. Originally published on Rebelle Society
I stopped. I stopped crying. I stopped feeling sad. I stopped being motionless. I stopped repeating the cycle. I rather enjoy radiating radiance!
While there will always be certain areas of life that come with a fair amount of challenges and obstacles, there are also those areas of life equally primed for positive expansion and growth. I woke up this morning excited about the areas of my own life that are currently under construction, poised for wondrous enhancement. As we end the year and gear up for 2015, it might help for you to identify and celebrate such areas in your own life too! If everyone else is hanging in there, then surely, I can too.
The planets Uranus (rebellion) and Pluto (transformational change) are currently in a tight 90 degree angle above. Because these two planets are farthest from the Sun, the effects they stir impact societies at a gradual pace that can last for years. In fact, Uranus and Pluto have been sitting 90 degrees apart since 2011, having made thus far 5 (soon to be 6) exact square angles. The first exact square gave rise to the Arab Spring in the Middle East. The 6th exact square will occur next Monday, December 15th; I don’t doubt that you can feel some tension. If you’ve been watching the news and uttering phrases like “the world is on fire” or “what’s wrong with people today,” then you are totally attuned, right where you need to be, and on the verge of a liberating breakthrough. |
