A T-square is currently forming in the sky above, and peaking this week. Mars retrograde in Aquarius will oppose the Sun, now in Leo, and these two planets will form a 90-degree angle to Uranus in Taurus. To add sparks, this T-square will be triggered by a Lunar Eclipse on Friday, also in the sign of Aquarius.
When examining aspects, it is important to consider the planets and signs involved. In Astrology, the Sun represents who we are, while Mars represents how we pursue our goals. An opposition between these two celestial bodies brings tension around self-assertion.
Meanwhile, on the Leo/Aquarius axis, a balance must be struck between authentic expression, and joining the larger cause. Standing out, and fitting in. Personal creation versus innovation for the greater good. Because Taurus is at the apex, our desire for security may feel challenged if our efforts at self-assertion are blocked by a group, or the persistence of a conventional approach.
Another wrinkle to the cosmic drama unfolding is that all this is playing out in the fixed signs of the Zodiac. The fixed signs (Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio) are known to be strong-willed, determined, and stubborn AF. As this tension builds like a pressure cooker, something must be released – enter the lunar eclipse. Flexibility will be required. Now is not the time to dig in your heels.
You can use this energy to strong arm your way through something that is of value to you. But, you must keep your ego in check, and be open to new ways of thinking and doing. The energy of this configuration will continue throughout the summer, as Mercury stations retrograde in the sign of Leo this Thursday. Delays will continue, but progress will be possible. Bide your time. Be patient.
