Depression is no joke. It can put you down for the count. It can make the simplest task difficult to complete. It can lead you to over eat, over sleep, over think. It can be the tears that wash your face before bedtime. Depression for me doesn’t feel bleak or heavy. It’s more lethargic with a mix of melancholy – life continues as it should, blessings and all, and yet my outlook is just “meh”. Unfortunately, this is not anything new. It comes and goes, more so during the winter months. I know that my experience is common among others. I also know that we will all soon snap out of it.
Mars and Venus have recently entered the sign of Aries the Ram, a sign known to be action oriented with focused drive and initiative. Aries does not have time to sit and think about doing; Aries can only do. Mars is the traditional ruler of Aries, so the warrior planet is at home in this sign. Venus, however, is not so comfortable (as the traditional ruler of Libra, Aries’ opposite sign). Nevertheless, the planet of charm and grace is situated in a fiery disposition, and combined; there isn’t much these two planets can’t accomplish. The heat of both could melt the snow in the Northeast – it could ignite an inner passion that burns for the bold, the new and the different.
Keep in mind, however, that the Sun just recently moved into the water sign of Pisces. This means that we don't quite yet have the green light to forge ahead with momentum; first we must clear the psychic dust and emotional muck that needs to be released, so that we can begin to put forth a more conscious effort when it comes to personal pursuits. But no matter, I'll take what I can get right about now, even if if is just a hint of what's in store. 2015 is soon to be officially underway. A shift is coming just around the bend, moving into March.
