We are nearing the end of this summer’s eclipse season and what a finale it will be, as the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse peaks in the sign of Capricorn on Tuesday, July 16th. This is it folks. This is the big one. This is where we transform or go home.
“No, I don’t want to. No! I don’t want to; leave me alone,” said the little girl inside of me protesting sudden developments brought on by eclipses. She is kicking and screaming and resisting, and I have spent the past week trying to soothe her and bring her calm.
We are in between eclipses, folks! The two-week period where life can change on an instant. All one must do is pay attention to events that are unfolding – the obvious and the not so obvious – to get a sense of what’s in store. Eclipses always come in pairs; the solar eclipse brings new chapter beginnings and the lunar eclipse brings completions. They feed one another. Something in life must shift or end (lunar eclipse) so we can take advantage of an important fresh start (solar eclipse).
The longest night of the year is upon us, as the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn this week. The Winter Solstice will be followed by a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer, a lunar gift that ensures gentility and tenderness, as we prune and release what no longer serves us on our evolutionary path.
It is during this time of year that I usually begin to reflect on the year itself, and how I wish to enter the next new cycle. There is always something that marks my experience, something that greatly influences what I hope to manifest as the Earth takes another spin around the Sun. But 2018 has been quite unique…
Change is inevitable, assumed in your Soul’s contract.
Our cosmic taskmaster wakes up this week. Saturn, the ringed planet, will station direct on Thursday, September 6th, reminding us of important Karmic lessons that remain unresolved.
Action planet Mars stations direct in the sign of Capricorn today, and in the coming weeks, it will finish its transit of Aquarius. The pace of life will soon pick up; what's been suspended in air, or kept on pause, will soon see forward momentum.
But first, we must get our bearings.
“I am here to enjoy, discover, and develop my inner life, as well as my external one.” C. Nicholas
Eclipse season is over and it has been quite the whirlwind, as foretold. Important themes were emphasized with all three cosmic events: nurture your roots, surrender to your obstacles, and find another way to shine. I don’t doubt that we all will come out the other side of this period changed in some way. Going forward, we can collect ourselves. We can begin to apply lessons learned and insights revealed. We can start anew. Look to the month of September for significant gains.
