Scorpio in 2023

1/1/2023

A gradual build-up of energy begins right at the start of the year as the planet Mars stations direct in the sign of Gemini on January 13, where it has been retrograde since October 2022.

All the planets in our solar system do what’s called, “retrograde,” with Mercury being the planet that retrogrades most frequently throughout the calendar year. A retrograde planet gives the optical illusion of orbiting the almighty Sun backwards, which can be symbolized as a nudge from the Universe to pause and reroute where necessary, based on where the planet is affecting us in our natal charts.

Now, Mars in Astrology connects us to how we initiate our deepest passions. But while retrograde, assertive efforts feel blocked. Such blocks and thwarted motivation can be frustrating for us down below. So, as the Warrior planet gets back to its regular pace and orbit, you can anticipate that the affairs of life will amplify, a momentum that continues through the spring and summer seasons.

Investments, financial contracts, partnership agreements, and other intimate matters will see forward movement. This is especially true as it relates to ongoing talks and communications; Mercury will also station direct in the sign of Capricorn on January 19, where it’s been retrograde since December 2022 bring misunderstandings and technological glitches.

In fact, increased correspondence, short trips, and other activities of the mind are highlighted throughout the months of January and February. If finalizing settlement on property in a new community, moving through salary negotiations, or making a final car payment, the direct stations of Mercury and Mars may very well be connected.

This will, no doubt, bring some level of calm and peace, Scorpio. Interestingly, by the time we enter the spring months, domestic matters, activities centering family and loved ones, as well as your own anchor, roots, and foundations, will undergo major shifts as two momentous cosmic events develop above: Saturn will ingress (enter) the sign of Pisces on March 8, and Pluto – your ruling planet in Astrology – will ingress the sign of Aquarius on March 24.

Both these planetary shifts are set to bring important lessons to humanity below, especially in the way of social unrest, spiritual growth, and revolutionary coups. For you, Scorpio, you can consider this an emotionally regenerative time. Where there’s been pain, loss, feelings of uprooting, and childhood trauma (big “T” and little “t”), you will be encouraged to reclaim what brings you joy and to heal old wounds that keep you stuck in unhealthy patterns stemming from your upbringing.

Spring will be the time to direct your energy in assertive ways. You will feel quite driven and determined as Mars continues to move in forward motion confirming investments and/or divestments. Opportunities during this first quarter or 2023 may beg the need for you to get clear on your overall direction in life. This will be amplified on April 20 when a solar eclipse peaks, encouraging lifestyle changes that better serve your quality of living.

However, Mercury will station retrograde again the day after the eclipse on April 21, bringing challenges to important connections. If you are trying to get into a new routine with a romantic partner, a business partner, a medical specialist, or family member, it will feel like you’re taking two steps forward and two steps back as you navigate certain adjustments. But these things will resolve when the Messenger planet stations direct on May 15, and most likely in your favor.

The lunar eclipse peaks in your sign on May 5, meanwhile, wrapping up personal matters, independent pursuits, and important lessons learned that have led to your own self-improvement. Of course, with Mercury retrograde, there will still be delays. But as Jupiter shifts into the sign of Taurus on May 17, connections with others may grow stronger as a result of your own growth. You may be making new connections that serve you, aligning with close partners (friends, relatives, spouse/romantic partners, etc.) that support the person you’re becoming.

A surge of energy continues as we reach the summer solstice in the meantime. This year is fast and furious! Travel, academic pursuits, career matters, and social engagements fill your schedule in exciting ways.

That said, the close of July sees Venus stationing retrograde on the 23rd bringing an assessment on the career front. You may be undergoing a performance evaluation, being considered for a promotion, or thinking about retirement – these are just a few examples of how Venus – the planet that connects us to love, beauty, money, and personal aesthetics – will be of impact while retrograde.

This gets a little dicey as Mercury stations retrograde once more just a month later on August 24. At this point of the year, networking will have picked up; you may be in the midst of an extensive interview process or experiencing back-and-forth with an employer regarding a raise. Delays as they relate to your involvements in different professional settings are likely, courtesy of Venus and Mercury retrograde.

Such matters will resolve in September when Venus stations direct on the 4th and Mercury stations direct on the 16th. A period of review will conclude in a company or organization. What may feel like a suspenseful holding pattern finally lifts!

Your birthday season sees the last of two eclipses, meanwhile. A solar eclipse on the 14th brings rest and retreat, while the lunar eclipse on the 28th wraps up ongoing activities involving significant others. FYI, these eclipses are connected to the spring pair of eclipses. If dissolving a union or offloading the care of a loved one, you finally get a reprieve that will create space for you to tend to your own garden.

Remember, much of 2023 sees you on nurturing your roots and foundations, which may beg the need for better boundaries with family and relatives who rely too heavily on your giving nature. This is quite timely as you prepare to celebrate another solar return. It’s as if a seed will be planted during October’s solar eclipse that grows into new self-awareness and inspires personal goals and ambitions.

As we close out the year, the pace of life will pick up! Personal goals and ambitions dominate, as well as money matters and financial dealings. Actually, November through December sees a surge of energy building around your resources – you may be working with a financial planner or on the receiving end of a hefty holiday raise/bonus.

That said, Mercury retrogrades one last time on December 13, which could see financial documents go missing or back-and-forth negotiations around a salary adjustment. Holiday gift purchases may be out of stock or late to arrive, which sees you waiting for a refund!

Not to worry, Scorpio – these matters will resolve in the new year, and again, most likely in your favor. Aside from Mercury’s end-of-year backspin, your year ends on a rather sentimental note!

Scorpio in 2022

1/1/2022

The beginning of 2022 sees you deep in thought, dear Scorpio. Over the past decade, your mind has been transformed. Your opinions and beliefs have changed. Your mental health and wellness have been better nourished. The ways in which you communicate have become more profound. This “deepening of the mind” continues into the new year, as you begin to more serious consider everything from the quality of your surroundings to the people you regularly engage.

You may be feeling the urge to relocate, go back to school, launch a communications platform or innovative technology. No longer content with surface level interactions and stimulation, a growing part of you wishes to have more intimate conversations where you can express the depths of your Soul.

You may find this to be especially true when it comes to your relationships. Superficial connections will no longer cut it; you yearn for 2a.m. talks on existential topics that challenge the way you think. Mental rapport is sexier than physical looks. If you’re unable to find shared opinions or sparking debates with close others, what’s the point of having them around?

The answer to that last question is that they may challenge you to unlearn certain rigid patterns of thinking. In fact, the start of the year sees you reconsidering those opinions and beliefs as cosmic turning points put you in contact with new faces – fated in nature – that force you to deepen, expand, and even restructure your mind. No more “assuming the worst,” or unhealthy mindsets. Even Jupiter’s transit of Pisces, a sign that wears compassion on its sleeve, will influence you to get into your heart space while formulating new views and perspectives.

I actually like this transit of Jupiter, for it will have a softening effect on you. Creative juices, romance, and dare I say it – love – will inspire you to let your guard down and your inner child out to play. Children feature, as well as artistic collaborations. All of this will contribute to your own changing thoughts and beliefs as we move through the first quarter of 2022.

Once spring hits, life will feel lighter, and you’ll be on cloud nine. Busy days, matters of the heart, and relationships will fill your plate, bringing an active spring season. In fact, you may find that relationship partners, be they business or romantic, contribute to a growing schedule and new commitments. Balance between ‘self’ and ‘other’ will be important, especially as we move into the first eclipse season of 2022.

The first solar event occurs on April 30th initiating a new relationship chapter with another. Developments may be sudden and will connect with cosmic turning points putting those bonds that tie and endure in the spotlight. You could meet someone new at this time or decide to commit. The lunar eclipse on May 16th will confirm this, as something of personal significance comes to an end.

That said, there may be a few hiccups in between these two eclipses as Mercury stations retrograde. Misunderstandings in a partnership (business or personal) as well as delays involving a union are likely. This is not a sign to call things off, but to be patient. Consider this retrograde an invitation to get clear on what/who you value and why, before moving forward with important commitments.

By June, relationship hiccups will start to move forward as new commitments, mergers, and contracts take on greater influence – this will be the case throughout the remainder of the year. You may be signing a marriage certificate or employer agreement, and you’d be wise not to overcommit yourself or spread your resources too thin.

Busy days highlight the beginning of summer. A new transit of Jupiter will see you taking on more tasks, work, chores, and responsibilities as life grows full. Broader aims, career, and networking amplify. This period of the year may come with a lot of opportunities; travel is highlighted, along with vocational aims and social engagements that support themes of mental rapport and stimulation. The summer months look to be full, as well, a time to really focus on outward aims that give you a sense of purpose and meaning.

By the fall, you will enter your annual “sleepy period” taking time for rest and retreat. It is usually around this time of year when your body grows tired, and you become more self-reflective. You may be contemplating personal change and decisions. You may also be considering your involvement in different groups and affiliations, and whether you wish to maintain your allegiance.

What comes up will, again, center how you feel in certain alliances that contribute to your mental health and deepening mindset. If a job is no longer stimulating, or a disconnect amongst friends widens, you may want to end an association. Such inquiry will only amplify as Mercury stations retrograde mid-September through the first week of October. So, you will have to wait until then before clarity is restored and you know where you stand.

Once clarity is restored, you can move forward with a friendship, or walk away from the group. In the process, certain commitments may change, especially as we move toward the end of the year; this all coincides with another pair of eclipses.

October 25th brings a solar eclipse that impacts you personally. Decisions around tribe, community, and where/with whom you are invested may bring change that affects your sense of identity and development in life. A lunar eclipse peaks on November 8th, meanwhile, closing an important relationship chapter that may have held you back from charting your own path.

In between the eclipses, Mars will station retrograde, a cosmic event that only occurs once every two years. Of all the planets, Mars can be the hardest to navigate when retrograde. Its energy connects us to our force of will, so when it does a backward spin around the almighty Sun, our energy feels blocked.

For you, dear Scorpio, important contracts and commitments feature; energy has been building in these areas since June. If working with vendors to organize a wedding, or navigating financial dealings in a business partnership, there will be a ton of moving parts along with delays that may bring setbacks to your plans.

You may find this period to be frustrating, too, as such matters come with some level or risk and vulnerability. You would be wise, then, to adopt an attitude of flexibility. Mars will be retrograde through January 2023, so you’ve got about 2 ½ months of bobbing and weaving and redirecting your energy.

This is not the end of the world, Scorpio. Remember how planet alignments are deepening your thought processes and changing how you respond to life? Let this 4th quarter of the year be a reminder to prioritize positive thinking. Besides, other life focuses are playing out, too, that involve personal growth, financial dealings, and learning endeavors.

2022 ends on a fine note, overall, aside from some choppy cosmic weather that closes us out. And while anxiety is likely, so, too, is peace, greater connection, and changes of scenery that leave you feeling grateful.

So, give yourself permission to indulge curiosities or even learn a new skillset. Doing so will serve as a reprieve from this period of the year. Release the chatter of your mind and adjust your way of thinking. Our thoughts do create our reality.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, SCORPIO!

Scorpio in 2021

1/1/2021

2020 was a year that will go down in history. All of the Zodiac signs had their fair share of challenges throughout the year, and if you’re reading this, you lived to tell the tale. Scorpios understand on a core level what it means to die, and be reborn, and die once more in flesh and essence. But it’s never an easy thing to endure, not even for you, dear Scorpion.

Loss throughout 2020 triggered your need to control. In all your attempts to maintain some semblance of certainty and knowing, you were challenged to surrender all such attempts. This was especially true around personal beliefs, styles of communication and intellect; just when you thought you knew it all, 2020 reminded you of how much needed to be relearned. As we enter the new year, a new set of challenges (and thus, growth) will be presented on the emotional front.

Domestic matters are highlighted throughout all of 2021. Family planning, milestones, real estate and mended ties feature. This year initiates a season of self-nurture, Scorpio, a season of self-nurture. You’re learning how to parent yourself while taking on all the things! Greater responsibility, especially for the family unity, is likely.

Another possible manifestation involves your roots and lineage. You may spend the year uncovering family trauma and history for the purpose of healing. Strained relationship can find harmony. Same is true with regards to your own emotional health and resiliency – you, too, can access inner strength.

You’ll get a taste of what all this entails right at the start of the year and may even come up against a few delays throughout the month of February. Disputes amongst relatives, real estate challenges and other domestic changes may prove disruptive, but all will resolve by March. Until then, remember to nurture yourself as needed.

The spring season feels much lighter after what looks to be a rather dark winter. Health, work, chores, tasks and busy days all feature, and eventually, you will turn your attention more fully to significant others – spouse, close friends, roommates, business partner, etc. A theme in effect all year will encourage you to be flexible in close ties. You can’t force relationships to look a certain way and you can’t control others, either. Remember, you’ve been learning about surrendering control for quite some time now and those lessons still apply.

This is all fitting as we enter the first eclipse season of 2021. A lunar and solar event on May 26th and June 10th, respectively, bring activity around new commitments and other agreements. You may be merging in an important tie, surrendering a false sense of safety for more intimate dealings. This will be a major shift for you, Scorpio, one that requires greater vulnerability on your part.

That said, there may be a few delays around new mergers and joint ventures. Whether negotiating a prenup or applying for a mortgage, you can anticipate some back and forth and misunderstandings. These matters will resolve in your favor by July, so be patient.

The rest of the summer brings dreams in the making and career advancement. Opportunities for you to further yourself will be presented, so be sure to take advantage of this energy on tap. Travel features, pending COVID-19 restrictions, and professional growth is likely. This will be important entering the fall months when a low-energy cycle creeps in. You may begin to run out of steam after an eventful year to date. This shift may also see you healing from illness or working on a private project behind the scenes.

End of September through most of October bring sleepy periods and lethargy. You may be contemplating a big decision or simply taking time for rest. By November, this low-cycle will have lifted before your birthday season concludes, and just in time for another pair of eclipses.

November 19th and December 4th bring another lunar and solar event, respectively. Something shifts on the relationship front – a final commitment or the end of an affair. What culminates will lead to more resources along with personal and financial security. If you are merging in a union, your combined assets will lead to material wealth. Same is true if forging a business contract.

The rest of the year brings mental pursuits, short trips and correspondence. In fact, some kind of communication endeavor may be up for consideration as we enter 2022. Whether it’s an assessment of mental health, a document review or re-negotiations, take time to obtain all information before reaching a final conclusion.

This end of year period also brings a pick me up around fun, creative aims and recreation! This energy that will carry you throughout all of next year. Fertile energy is highlighted whether welcoming a child or giving birth to brainchildren in the form of creative ideas. This will be a welcomed reprieve – not a bad way to close out 2021!

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

Scorpio in 2020

A profound transformation of your mind, the way that you think, and how you understand the world around you has been in effect for a number of years, Scorpio. You have unlearned, relearned and unlearned some more, deepening your mind as a result.

This year brings expansion to all engagements and interactions. You have mastered an important topic, now prepared to teach new insights and wisdom gained. It’s been a long time coming, Scorpio. You’re ready.

A solar eclipse from 2019 sets the tone for 2020. This cosmic event will bring a new start to learning endeavors, whether you are launching a communications platform, going back to school or becoming mentally healthy. The lunar eclipse that follows on January 10th brings an end to all the work you have done to get to this point. Now that you have acquired higher skills and knowledge, you can begin to apply what you know in more fundamental ways.

Of course, there may be some back and forth when it comes to creative self-expression. Now that you have discovered your voice, you may be uncertain of how best to use it. Artistic platforms may be unpredictable during the late winter months. This may also impact your ability to share your affections for others and allow your inner child out for play. Don’t worry, Scorpio – your muse of inspiration will return by the spring, as fertile energy is replenished.

The remainder of spring, meanwhile, sees you busy. Different chores, tasks and responsibilities fill your days, as well as a focus on health. This may also involve significant others; busy days may be attributed to growing demands of your time by close loved ones.

An influence in effect all year will bring sudden relationship developments. Whether coupled or single, you will have to find an important balance between “self” and “other.” This is especially true when it comes to important mergers and shared resources. Commitments undergo an extended review late May through June. Where you are financially, relationally or professionally invested may be evaluated.

If dissolving a union, there may be a review of the splitting of assets. If merging in a financial arrangement, a contract may need to be further negotiated. If applying for a property loan, your mortgage documents may undergo thorough consideration.

This cosmic activity will be compounded by three eclipses that peak during the summer months (instead of the standard two). Lunar eclipses on June 5th and July 5th bring completions around money and communications. Meanwhile, the solar eclipse on June 21st – a potent summer solstice event – brings a new start involving travel, higher aims and broadened pursuits.

There may be talks and final agreements involving your enrollment in an apprenticeship program that could lead to career advancement. This could also be interpreted as tenure within an academic institution, or confirmation for international endeavors. FYI, however, there will be a few setbacks involving all dreams and aspirations that further you in some way, shape or form, and it may not be until mid-July or early August before plans begin to move forward.

By the time we reach the beginning of August, an extended review around shared resources will have resolved, while delays around opportunities for growth gain momentum. You get a brief reprieve from the twists and turns of summer; September brings another round of tumultuous cosmic energy.

The fall season comes with bigger obstacles that will impact your day-to-day. Health crises, job changes, interrupted schedules and other disruptions are possible beginning September through November. You may find that a prognosis for a health matter goes unresolved. Same is true if funding for a project at work freezes, and you are unable to do your job.

These are examples of what might feel frustrating during this time of year. Productivity will be blocked, and it will simply be hard to get things done. You will be limited with what you can do.

Tensions as a result will be further amplified in October. Personal goals and ambitions will see severe setbacks because of significant challenges around daily affairs and productivity. These experiences may see you enter a low energy cycle as you rest to ward off feelings of sadness or even depression due to circumstances beyond your control.

October will be a challenging month for everyone, Scorpio. The only way to navigate this energy is to either lean back and wait for obstacles to lift or find a working solution in the interim. To push or force a situation will prove futile. Your efforts will see little progress leading to further angst.

By the time we reach the month of November, obstacles will begin to lift. Day-to-day responsibilities, health matters and projects at the office will move forward with gradual progress through the end of the year. Furthermore, as things shift forward, you will come out of a low energy cycle feeling more energized and motivated to begin pursuing personal plans without delays.

Momentum will continue to build into 2021, as eclipses close out 2020. A lunar eclipse on November 30th will bring a culmination around certain commitments and contract agreements that underwent a thorough review back in May and June. Whatever ends here should pay off in the form of money, resources and financial gains; the solar eclipse on December 14th brings a new start on money front.

If you are ending a contract, compensation will be rewarded. If you are selling a property, there will be lucrative returns from the investment. These are examples of how the eclipses will feed each other.

The end of the year brings significant focus to home and family, Scorpio. After many plot twists and turns, your roots, relations with kin and emotional well-being will feature in the new year. A time for grounding and sanctuary will become main priorities.

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

Scorpio in 2019

Mental sharpness, mental health, and mental focus remain themes throughout 2019.  You have been challenged to keep negative thoughts and worries at bay, as you discipline your mind in different ways. New communication platforms and educational pursuits are in store. Not only is a subtle but transformative unlearning in effect, so too is relearning.

The year begins with eclipses. A solar eclipse brings a new start to learning endeavors on January 5th, while a lunar eclipse on January 21st brings a shift on the work front. Many of you may be going back to school to launch an entirely new career. Fresh stimulus is likely, whether you are exploring a new professional field, or undergoing vocational training. Opportunities to increase your income and material wealth are highlighted throughout the entire year. Education could lead to greater compensation for your work and services.

The pressure to learn and share vocational talents will be felt throughout the spring. You may be challenged to identify and amplify new trade skills, overcoming fears of rejection. Ultimately, this may lead to a new creative outlet. Writing and studying could become platforms for self-expression.

With that said, self-expression may be misunderstood come March. Delays around creative projects are possible. This could even affect you on the romantic front if trying to find the right words to share with a lover. Upsets involving children are also likely, especially if there are arguments.

Try not to get too discouraged if you find that creative outputs are blocked. By April, you will have identified other ways to get your message across and promote your talents. In fact, April ensures that charming words bear fruit, as relationship matters peak.

An influence that began in 2018 will encourage you to take a more deliberate approach to cultivating intimate connections. Abrupt events and instability may color your relationship experience, but being flexible will keep you at ease. This is a year to build sturdier foundations in connections with others.

As we reach the summer months, two more eclipses bring new developments. A solar eclipse on July 2nd may encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone for educational growth and expansion, while the lunar eclipse on July 16th sees you leaving comfort behind. Enrollment in a licensing program or training could broaden your skillset. FYI, there may be some delays around enrollment starting mid-July through August. Same is true if you are moving abroad or focused on international travel; responsibilities at home could trip you up. Patience is key – all will resolve by September.

The fall months, meanwhile, come with a lot of energy as a stellium of planets above bring focus to your career and networking. The pursuit of initiatives that encourage professional growth could lead to career advancement. If you are getting certified in a certain trade, kr launching a life-long entrepreneurial venture, it could be what leads to a new vocational path. Furthermore, you will find the support needed through certain networks should you put yourself out there.

With that said, there may be a few setbacks in November causing you to doubt yourself and your abilities. If your efforts are blocked, lean back. Forward momentum comes December in time for the final eclipse of the year.

2019 ends with a parting gift as Jupiter begins it transit of Capricorn, where the solar eclipse will peak on December 26th. Expansion of your mind continues. You will end the year on a wiser note.

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

This will be a year of significant growth, Scorpio. Learning and education will fill your days. Whether you find yourself in a classroom setting, or new “on the job” training, your mind will be challenged to deepen and focus. Communication in general will require greater attention and discipline, whether you are writing your dissertation, or finishing your first novel. Your thinking, overall, will undergo a profound transformation – pay attention to mental health as this metamorphosis unfolds.

The year begins with you learning a new trade, and this will carry you through eclipse season in February. A completion of activity on the career front is highlighted. This could see you finishing up a certification, or ending your tenure at an organization to focus on higher aims. A new start on the home and family front features too. You may need to shift your attention to what matters most, including domestic activities with close loved ones.

The spring months bring busier days, with a few schedule disruptions highlighted. There may be some back and forth around a health matter, or simple delays when it comes to long standing obligations, chores, and other responsibilities. You would be wise to schedule important appointments in advance, and try to avoid any major health procedures mid-March through mid-April. The elements of your daily life will begin to move forward by the end of April.

May will be an especially important month for relationships. A new cycle in effect is set to bring changes to relational dynamics with significant others. Sudden new beginnings are possible, along with sudden endings. No matter your experience, flexibility will be required of you so that you can stand on solid ground with partners of all kinds – business or romantic.

The summer months, meanwhile, will be choppy months for us all. Three eclipses rock our world instead of just the regular two, and you, specifically, will experience obstacles on the home and family front. If you are purchasing property, dealing with renovations, or navigating domestic tension, there may be severe delays starting around June. A lunar eclipse in July will bring a hard stop to such activities, forcing you to find another way around setbacks.

Events that unfold during the months of July and August could bring a fresh start on the career front. Opportunities to expand and grow in your vocation of choice are possible, especially if you are traveling afar, or enrolling in a higher learning program. You may have to leave the comforts of “home” to broaden your experience. August will bring more minor delays involving career, but all will move forward by the time we enter the month of September.

The cosmic weather come fall will be calmer, and a re-assessment of how much you have grown since the beginning of the year will be in effect starting around mid-October through November. What new experiences have propelled you to where you are now? How can you continue to broaden your personal life, focusing on self-promotion and development? These questions will be up for review; be intentional as you begin to more firmly commit to your own personal agenda.

The year ends with growing activity around money and finances. There may be some back and forth involving salary, compensation, or property matters, so wait until the end of 2018 before making any big financial decisions. A year of abundance will be underway in 2019, and you deserve it! Consider what you value, and how you are valued. You are set for a successful year, Scorpio –congratulations!

Scorpio in 2017

The cosmos has given you somewhat of a reprieve, Scorpio. I am sure you would agree that the past few years have brought many challenges; you have learned a great deal, and very soon, luck and fortune will be knocking at your door. All you must do is welcome them with open arms, and embrace the abundance they wish to share. But first, let’s get you through 2017!

The year begins with quite a bit of activity in your neighborhood and surrounding environment. You may be taking a few short trips, engaged in education and learning initiatives, or simply involved in increased communications and interactions with others. Writing and speaking engagements are highlighted – so too are trainings and workshops. This is all setting you up for a busy start to your New Year, and it comes with a few glitches and delays, courtesy of Mercury Retrograde. Obstacles may manifest as misunderstandings, mechanical breakdowns, and technological malfunctions. None of this is good or bad, dear Scorpio – it just is. These things will begin to move forward by the beginning of February.

February, meanwhile, is an important month that could lead to a new chapter beginning. Eclipses see you walking away from a longstanding career or profession, shifting your focus to creative projects and endeavors, even an entrepreneurial initiative. The same is true in August; eclipses bring career opportunities that could see you relocating, or simply turning a “home grown” venture into something that generates income. Of course, you must be open to all that is possible; remember luck and fortune knocking at your door? Change is inevitable, and this time it is for good.

As the energy of eclipses unfold throughout the year, you will also experience increased activity in your daily life during the spring. March and April see you focused on your health and well-being, along with the chores and responsibilities that make up your day-to-day. You may find it difficult to get a full grasp of all the tasks on your plate during this time, especially at work, and this could lead to excess stress and anxiety. It is equally possible that you attempt to revamp your health through fitness and exercise, but going to extremes is also possible. Be mindful of health matters and physical ailments. A common cold could become more than you anticipated, while doctors and procedures seem unreliable. May and June are months when the activities of your everyday life begin to calm. Until then, hold off on making any big decisions, primarily with regards to your health.

The fall months see you gearing up for the riches I spoke of earlier. By now, career matters have been resolved, and your involvement with a new group, organization, or company feels more settled. By October, you will begin to benefit from opportunities that bring personal growth and self-promotion. Your confidence will increase as you dive deeper into a life direction that suits you.

The end of 2017 brings a final shift that has you more focused on mental pursuits in the form of writing, speaking, and education. 2018 looks to be your year Scorpio, and you deserve it!

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

Scorpio in 2016

This year will bring plenty of opportunities to prove yourself, dear Scorpio. The innate power that you possess will work in your favor (if used properly), and what you seek in the form of desires will be yours for the taking. Be careful what you wish for, of course, and try to stay on track. If you play your cards just right, this year could go down in the books as a great triumph!

2016 begins with increased activity in your local surroundings. Short trips are possible, interactions with those in your immediate environment will be full of energy, and education is highlighted. If you are moving, you may be looking for new towns to relocate. Or, you may simply be spending more time engaged in events in your neighborhood. With that said, you should know that January is a month where delays and disruptions will put a wrench in plans. Make sure to back-up important electronics, and get your car checked for oil. The little things that keep your life running could bring unnecessary stress; February is a better month for forward progress.

The planet Mars will transit Scorpio at the start of the year too, giving you plenty of energy to simply get things done. Mars will be in your sign through April, and then again at the end of May through August. This is a long time to host the warrior planet, which means you will have plenty of time to assert your efforts. There may be a big plan reassessment in June and July, however, which could bring a few obstacles when it comes to your own agenda. Money seems to be the factor here, and you may have to identify additional resources in order to invest in a private initiative. Significant others feature, especially in May, and it is possible that a business partnership or a romantic relationship undergo some level of uncertainty. It will be necessary for you to find the balance between relationship growth, which might involve a possible pregnancy or creative collaboration, and your desire to focus on connections that support your hopes and dreams for the future. A big question mark surrounds what and who are worthy investments, and the months of April through June – the most difficult months of 2016 – will test your allegiance. Try to hold off on making big decisions if you can. July brings a turning point.

Meanwhile, eclipses in March, August, and September will energize the areas of life that stem around romance, recreational pursuits, friendships, and your inner world. These are themes that bring increased self-reflection, so that you might see your true self in a more authentic light, and so that others can see your true authentic self as well. It is time to remove all masks that keep you from being you, Scorpio. In fact, you will find that if you can develop faith in yourself, others will have faith in you too!

A deepened inner awareness is a theme that will peak in October and play out through 2017. You will grow through your own personal insights, setting the tone for the next big cycle of your life.

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

Scorpio in 2015

The big development for you in 2015 is a poignant shift from self-discipline, focus, and the overcoming of personal fears – to reward for your efforts, increased self-esteem and knowing your worth! The past couple of years have not been easy. You have been forced to become your own authority with regards to how you choose to live your life, and in the process, you have had to get past a few ego tricks, re-examine important relationships, and dive into activities that would allow you to self-actualize. If you showed up to task with intent and purpose, you will be able to look back in hindsight, amazed by your progress! Congratulations, it’s official. You have made it through your rite of passage. You can stamp the year 2014 with a customized banner that reads: “newly transformed!”

So now what?

Well, now you have to start believing in yourself a little more. That means showing off your skills, gifts, and talents, while demanding proper compensation in both love and money. Doubts and settling are not welcome. While you may feel unsure of how to promote your authenticity, there will be enough fertile energy to motivate you, especially in March courtesy of a Solar Eclipse. Family planning may very well be a part of this energy too. Financial dealings and a values assessment require your attention if you’re buying a home, welcoming a new baby, or forging a business venture (just wait until the end of February before signing on the dotted line!).

Personal investments and creative endeavors will mostly play out on the career front, as you spend the first few months of the year contemplating your current vocation. Jupiter, the planet of benevolence, is encouraging you to grow in this area, so start thinking big; playing small isn’t welcome either. Tapping into your artistic genius will be necessary if you hope to change certain areas of life, namely anything that has to do with your sense of purpose. The spring months would be prime time to set new professional goals – May and June will be your busiest. The summer may bring setbacks, however, which will represent a time for further review. But September through the end of the year brings a meeting of minds that will support your dreams for the future.

In fact Scorpio, I would encourage you to dream big too! The second half of 2015 is all a buzz, and serves as your queue to take life to that next level. Fresh faces will appear at this time inspiring a directional shift, and you may find that elements of your daily life must now accommodate any changes set in motion. Truth be told, the need for more freedom in your day-to-day has been insatiable, as your interests in learning new subjects continue to transform your way of life. I suggest you learn to adjust; added space throughout your day would allow time for you to do more of what you love! 2015 really is your oyster. The sky really is the limit.

Happy New Year, Scorpio!

Scorpio in 2014

Don’t be surprised if ghosts from your past suddenly come back into your life during the first few months of the year. As energy above makes you more aware of what goes on behind the scenes, you may very well conjure their presence unknowingly. It seems certain discussions are not yet finished, so a sense of completion is in store. You may be the one who initiates contact if you feel the need to resolve an indiscretion. The opposite is true too, and someone may reach out to you for a final resolution. The planet Venus is involved here, so this could be a former love interest. If married or already in a relationship, it’s also possible that you’ll be rehashing the details of a specific conversation. In doing so, I suggest you exercise some compassion, and remain open in all interactions.
The need to revisit certain exchanges is a part of the ongoing lesson in which Scorpios are heavily enmeshed. You’re learning to become your own personal authority with regards to how you live your life, and working on those communication skills is crucial. Scorpios have a knack for straight talk, but sometimes what you say can cut so deep without filter that you leave others stunned and offended. This also plays in to your thought patterns; always the brooder of the Zodiac, you have a tendency to lean towards pessimism and cynical beliefs. Much of your perceived limitations in life are a direct result of how your mind operates. Creating the mental space for optimism would go a long way, and how you engage with others can be a good starting point.

As you begin to display a more positive outlook, motivation and inspiration will manifest. You may be surprised how others encourage and support some of your wildest dreams, which could make you more willing to share your ideas instead of questioning why you should bother. This fits nicely with how your own personal life philosophies are expanding. Affirmations will soon flood your vocabulary, and the sobriety of life won’t feel so stifling. Of course, this all depends on your attitude; changing your perspective is something you’re working hard to solidify. If you can remain flexible, it will lead to a broadened scope of the world, as well as increased enjoyment in your everyday life.

Significant others serve as the catalyst for how this all plays out. A Solar Eclipse on April 29th sparks a new romance that has serious potential (beware that there’s much to learn from this person). If you’re already paired up, this eclipse will represent a fresh start. No matter what transpires, communication will begin to improve in all important relationships, whether personal or business related. This sets the tone for a dynamic year of career advancement that begins during the latter half of 2014, while a second Solar Eclipse this October in your sign brings a personal clean slate. So much will be expected of you in 2014, and you’re more than capable of showing up for your responsibilities, ready to do the work. The rewards you receive as a result will be well worth the discipline, focus and dedication on your part.

Happy New Year, Scorpio!
