Aries in 2023

1/1/2023

A gradual build-up of energy begins right at the start of the year as the planet Mars – your ruling planet in Astrology – stations direct in the sign of Gemini on January 13, where it has been retrograde since October 2022.

All the planets in our solar system do what’s called, “retrograde,” with Mercury being the planet that retrogrades most frequently throughout the calendar year. A retrograde planet gives the optical illusion of orbiting the almighty Sun backwards, which can be symbolized as a nudge from the Universe to pause and reroute where necessary, based on where the planet is affecting us in our natal charts.

Now, Mars in Astrology connects us to how we initiate our deepest passions. But while retrograde, assertive efforts feel blocked. No doubt, such blocks and thwarted motivation may have felt especially frustrating to you, dear Ram. So, as the Warrior planet gets back to its regular pace and orbit, you can anticipate that the affairs of life will amplify, a momentum that continues through the spring and summer seasons.

Learning endeavors, trainings at work, short trips to new places that stimulate the mind, writing, research, and forward communication will soon intensify as Mars gains traction. You may be sitting for an important exam or finalizing contract negotiations. This is especially true as it relates to your work and profession; Mercury will also station direct in the sign of Capricorn on January 19, where it has been retrograde since December 2022 bringing hiccups on the career front.

In fact, career matters will only expand throughout January and February. If you are facilitating workshops or settling on a salary adjustment, the direct stations of Mercury and Mars may very well be connected. Networking will pick-up, too, as you begin interfacing with groups and associates that further vocational aims. You may be attending conferences or launching a business platform that draws in clients.

Interestingly, by the time we enter the spring months, focus will shift toward new associations and the groups/affiliates with which you align as two momentous cosmic events develop above: Saturn will ingress (enter) the sign of Pisces on March 8, and Pluto will ingress the sign of Aquarius on March 24.

Both these planetary shifts are set to bring important lessons to humanity below, especially in the way of social unrest, spiritual growth, and revolutionary coups. For you, Aries, you can consider this a time of great introspection and awakening. You will be focusing your energy inward for the sake of internal awareness and enlightenment, which may inform (or be influenced by) structural changes in a company setting or the groups/friendships where you belong.

What’s more, all this coincides around your birthday season. Spring will be the time to direct your energy toward entrepreneurial endeavors. You will feel quite driven and determined, even as you become more reflective and contemplative about the affairs of your life. It might be worth learning, sharing, and exploring new insights as Mars continues to move in forward motion.

This inward dive could be the catalyst for personal new chapters that begin during the first eclipse season of the year. On April 20, a solar event peaks in your sign, an eclipse that will inspire self-growth and personal improvement. This lunation will have wings as the planet Jupiter moves through your sign, too.

However, Mercury will station retrograde again the day after the eclipse on April 21, which means new chapter beginnings may be delayed, especially if there are financial changes and questions that need resolution before launching your own agenda. If waiting on investors to greenlight a personal project that has your name attached, or pooling resources that would allow you to embark upon a new path, these things will resolve when the Messenger planet stations direct on May 15, and most likely in your favor.

The lunar event peaks on May 5, meanwhile, wrapping up certain agreements and other commitments. If completing a tax return that results in a major refund, you may be waiting for that check to arrive before using it to further independent aims. Same is true if the government finally forgives your student loans. You will have more resources at your disposal to initiate personal plans.

Of course, with Mercury retrograde, there will still be delays. But as Jupiter shifts into the sign of Taurus on May 17, you may find that opportunities for financial growth and expansion bring abundance, personal wealth, and security.

The summer months continue to be hype with active energy in the meantime – this year is fast and furious! Domestic matters, activities centering children/child’s play, and even romance increase with momentum, which will eventually lead to busy days and growing responsibilities!

That said, the close of July sees Venus stationing retrograde on the 23rd, bringing an assessment around a child, creative project, or romantic entanglement. A love affair may be re-ignited. A child’s learning plan may need to be revised. An artistic endeavor may need to be re-evaluated before launch; these are examples of how Venus – the planet that connects us to love, beauty, money, and personal aesthetics – will be of impact while retrograde.

This gets a little dicey as Mercury stations retrograde once more just a month later on August 24. At this point of the year, busy days are amplified with more chores, tasks and responsibilities on your plate, and there may be disruptions to your levels of productivity with both Venus and Mercury retrograde.

Ongoing fertility treatments, for example, could impact your work schedule. Creative project assessments could prolong your launch timeline. A sick child may need your undivided attention. Such matters will resolve in September when Venus stations direct on the 4th and Mercury stations direct on the 16th. An assessment will be completed. Interrupted schedules will return to normal. What may feel like a suspenseful holding pattern will finally lift.

October sees two more eclipses, meanwhile. A solar event on the 14th initiates a new relationship beginning, and a lunar eclipse on the 28th brings completion around money matters. FYI, these eclipses are connected to the spring pair of eclipses. You may be investing your resources in a business partnership or merging your resources in a marital tie.

As we close out the year, the pace of life continues to expand with energy surrounding significant others (close friends, spouse, business colleagues, family, etc.), and this activity will lead to more intimate matters, commitment, and investments. But November through December sees wanderlust creeping in! With so many planet events above bringing shenanigans to us below, you may be ready to get out of dodge, travel, and try something new!

This would be a good time to book your flight, take a new course of study that could lead to professional growth, or finally write that manuscript. That said, Mercury retrogrades one last time on December 13, responsible for travel delays and pauses around vocational advancement.

Not to worry, Aries – these matters will resolve in the new year. Aside from Mercury’s backspin, your year ends on a rather thrilling note!

Aries in 2022

The real start to the new year begins in February, dear Ram. That’s because 2021 isn’t technically over, not with Venus retrograde at the star of 2022, soon to be followed by Mercury retrograde on January 14th. This year begins on a rather choppy note. We’ve got to make it through the first few weeks before that “clean slate” and new year resolutions can begin.

At the top of your agenda as we kick things off are work and money. An evaluation may be underway on the career front that sees you revamping everything from your resume and professional headshots, to an entrepreneurial launch and your overall legacy.

You may be considering the value you add in a company setting, as well as how you are being properly compensated for the expertise you bring to the table. If negotiating a salary adjustment or new hire contract, expect an ongoing review, along with delays and misunderstandings throughout all of January.

Destiny may favor you as a cosmic turning point brings focus to finances, investments, your self-esteem and overall sense of self-worth. This may not only play out on the career front. Property matters, the give-and-take in relationships, and other exchanges of energy feature. Your values are changing, and as a result, so too will the investments you make with your resources (time, money, love, etc.).

It might be worth reconnecting to your own faith-based practices as events unfold in early 2022, especially if overcoming inner fears and doubts that get in the way of you pursuing the career path, material wealth, and people you value. Jupiter in Pisces throughout half the year will enhance your awareness of how you may inadvertently self-sabotage your own efforts. New insights should propel you forward in a more confident light once Jupiter enters your sign later in the year. So be sure to reflect on how you might acquire greater abundance in life overall, however you define it.

A surge of energy will be felt as soon as we reach the spring equinox in March – your birthday season! Life will pick up pace as events move forward on the career and financial fronts. That said, another round of hiccups and delays courtesy of another Mercury retrograde may see you waiting for a tax refund in May or experiencing misunderstandings as it pertains to financial documents. This is especially true if securing funding on an educational endeavor or negotiating settlement on a new property.

The plot thickens once eclipses hit. A solar eclipse on April 30th marks a new chapter involving your finances and resources, but something may need to be divided, settled, sold, or surrendered at the lunar eclipse on May 16th before you can receive what is owed. FYI, this could also involve a sexual tie or marital contract. What culminates will beg the need for you to give a little in order to get a little.

Once Mercury stations direct in June, financial matters should resolve. Life will get back to the pace you prefer, especially since the planet Jupiter will have finally ingressed your sign. Consider this a cosmic blessing, Ram! You will be feeling energized and confident to assert independent pursuits, doing so rather unapologetically.

In fact, the summer season sees you in your element as home, family, fun, play, children, creative aims, recreation, romance, and other pleasurable indulgences fill your plate! You can accomplish so much under this cosmic weather, so be sure to use the energy afoot to your advantage. Jupiter’s transit of Aries will only last a few months before the biggest planet in our solar system returns to the sign of Pisces through January 2023 during its retrograde. Jupiter will come back to your sign again next year, too. So, use this short stint to “level-up” and center your own journey of becoming.

The final month of summer brings busy days, meanwhile. Doctor appointments, increased activities on the work front, ongoing chores and responsibilities, health matters, or all the above fill your schedule during the third quarter of the year. What’s more, Mercury will retrograde again mid-September through the first week of October initiating a few hiccups in personal relationships.

Misunderstandings with loved ones feature – a spouse, close friend, business partner, relative, etc. What arises may also bring disruption to your regular schedule and events. As always when the messenger planet does its backtrack around the almighty Sun, be patient and flexible. You’ll need to keep your wits about you as we close out the year.

When Mercury stations direct in October, busy days will become manageable. But another choppy cosmic period will bring us to the close of 2022.

For starters, a second pair of eclipses peak on October 25th (solar) and November 8th (lunar), bringing new chapters, once again, that center finances and shared resources. These will be important themes all year-long, Aries. The Universe will be bringing you opportunities to get your financial affairs for the purpose of comfort and security, so take heed. But the big news of this period involves Mars retrograde.

Of all the planets that retrograde, Mars is the hardest to navigate. This planet connects us to our willpower and assertion. But when retrograde, our efforts are thwarted. This will be especially difficult for you, dear Aries, because Mars is your ruling planet in Astrology. You will have to ground your energy a bit and find a channel for pent-up frustrations. Mars will stay retrograde through January 13, 2023.

This cosmic event will affect you personally when it comes to learning endeavors, education, training, and activities playing out in your community. You may be juggling several projects at school, coordinating a relocation, or launching a seminar that comes with a lot of moving parts. Along the way, you may have to bob, weave, and redirect your efforts. This may feel a bit “manic,” to be honest. So, find your pace, especially if launching a communications platform, participating in online events, or being trained in new technology.

This is how the year ends, Ram. But there are so many other life events unfolding that will keep you in high spirits and grateful. Travel, for example, is possible, whether a quick getaway or journeys abroad toward the end of the year. What’s more, you may be feeling hopeful with an aspirational goal that inspires hope.

2022 can conclude however you want, and it may require some additional rest and reflection to gain clarity. So, stick to your vision, whatever that may be, without worry or concern. When in doubt, remember to turn back to your faith and stay there. This is not the year to strongarm your way through an agenda. A little patience and trust will go a long way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ARIES!

Aries in 2021

If you read your annual horoscope from last year, dear Ram, you would have been made fully aware of the shenanigans set to unfold. This year, however, feels a lot different. Important cycles have reached completion, which means that you are ready to embark upon a new cycle of inhabiting the world.

Quite frankly, all of the Zodiac signs are being born anew in 2021, with new lessons, perspectives and frames of reference that alter our ways of living and being. We each get a clean slate; for you, Aries, this involves friendship, close connections, tribe and community.

You may be hard pressed in the coming months to truly identify where you fit in and belong since so much has changed. If you’ve moved or find yourself in a new work environment, it may take time for you to meet new people, especially with social restrictions in place. And yet, there will be opportunities for you to align with those groups and affiliates that further you along an evolutionary journey, so be patient.

Adjustments in new settings may be required with Mercury retrograde throughout all of February. If you are in the midst of organizational changes at work or attending a new academic institution online, you can anticipate delays and setbacks that center poor technology, changing start dates and orientation schedules. No worries, though. All will move forward by the spring.

In fact, the spring of 2021 brings a new groove back to life. By then, more people will have been vaccinated slowing the spread of COVID-19, which means social and travel restrictions will be less strict. We just have to make it through the winter.

Spring is your season, and no doubt, you will be feeling charged and motivated. Money matters feature, too, whether you’re on the receiving end of a promotion or making a big purchase. Keep in mind that a subtle changing influence is highlighted for you on the money front. You’re becoming more fiscally sound and secure, reorienting your values and changing your relationship with the material world. As money matters, self-esteem and a growing sense of self-worth evolve, abundance will be yours for the taking – just be mindful of spending.

Eclipses this spring on May 26th and June 10th bring another turn of events. Higher aims lead to a more local application. For years now, you’ve been asserting yourself with career goals and personal development. Reward for your efforts is forthcoming in 2021, whether completing a degree program or wrapping up an overseas assignment. What culminates can now be utilized in your everyday – you can get back to the basics of using what you know to further yourself.

FYI, there may be a few hiccups around such higher aims, courtesy of another Mercury retrograde cycle. Defense of your thesis may get pushed back, for example, prolonging graduation. Same is true if exam results are delayed or travel is deferred. Again, these cycles are akin to minor nuisances. Be patient and trust that a new start is coming, most likely in your favor.

The summer months, meanwhile, look good for everybody. You, personally, will be focused on domestic matters, family, fun, recreation, health and wellness. It’s a busy and active period for you – just how you like it – and by the time we reach the fall, relationship will take on greater focus as you shift your attention to all important connections, be they platonic, professional or intimate.

That said, misunderstandings with loved ones may bring frustration end September into October. Relationship ghosts from the past may also reappear. Try to avoid major decisions with significant others; you’ll find clarity come November.

The end of year period brings activity around shared finances, contracts and professional aims. In fact, eclipses on November 19th and December 4th will impact you on the money front, especially if pursuing a dream or major ambitions. You may be on the receiving end of financial support toward academic endeavors, for example, or win a surprise getaway trip just in time for the holidays!

The close of 2021 sees you entering a period of rest and reflection that will lead to inner growth and spiritual enlightenment. Everything about your life and the legacy you wish to leave behind will undergo a thorough review and assessment bringing new insights throughout all of 2022.

The year ends of you on a rather quite note – quite the opposite of how we started. Overall, the next 12 months seem rather simple and straightforward, giving you time to focus on getting your bearings with greater intention while opening up to how life unfolds, and even changes trajectory.

Happy New Year, Aries!

The new year feels like a fresh start for many. But others are still suffering the impact of COVID-19 as a food shortage continues to affect millions of Americans.

Aries in 2020

1/1/2020

Who are you, dear Ram? What will be your contribution to the world? When will you begin to give birth to entrepreneurial aims and ambitions that reflect the legacy you wish to leave behind? You have pondered these questions for years; 2020 sees you finally showing us – not telling us – the answers.

The new year technically began on December 26th, 2019, with a solar eclipse set to bring a new start around vocational plans and professional advancement. This new chapter ensures that you will step into your true power, recognized for your hard work and expertise.

While this plot thickens, a lunar eclipse on January 10th will bring a completion of activities on the domestic front. Whether you are launching a home-grown business, stepping into a new role as the matriarch within your family, or removing emotional blocks that inhibit outward success, this last eclipse of winter will further groom you for a year of achievements.

The spring months may see you hesitant, however. You may be contemplating a big decision or feelings of uncertainty when it comes to personal change. If so, try to be patient as inner doubts and insecurities are released; the spring months bring clarity and motivation.

Once your birthday hits, you’re busy! Money matters will be of focus as a new theme underway sees you being more deliberate with how you manage your resources. Short trips, new learning and increased correspondence are also highlighted. If you find yourself in a classroom setting, or absorbing mental stimulus from new communities, your mind is quite active.

With that said, late May through June brings some choppy cosmic weather. An extended review is in effect that has to do with learning, training and daily movement. If you have completed an important certification, test results may need time for processing. Same is true if you’ve applied for an important education program – your application may undergo a lengthy review.

If you are in need of transportation, you might be considering the purchase of a new car. If relocating, you may be considering new communities to call home. No matter your experience, all communications, contracts and other agreements will be thoroughly examined at this time, not to resolve until mid-July or early August.

What’s more, this cosmic activity coincides with another eclipse season; we get three during the summer months instead of the standard two. Lunar eclipses peak on June 5th and July 5th bringing completions around higher aims and career developments. What is under review may very well be linked to ambitions that see you furthering yourself, Aries. A chapter of growth will soon conclude.

Meanwhile, a very potent solar eclipse nestled in between the lunar eclipses occurs right at summer solstice on June 21st. A new start on the domestic front is highlighted. You may be relocating for work, experiencing domestic change or celebrating a family milestone. Whatever finishes around outward pursuits will pave the way for more personal focuses at home and with family.

However, you may find that June and July bring delays around home and family. If you are being stationed overseas, or seeking a relocation stipend, there may be a few setbacks before the new start courtesy of the solar eclipse can begin. Same is true of selling property – an appraisal may take longer than expected. Be patient as this whirlwind unfolds. All will soon settle.

July and August bring a temporary reprieve from tumultuous energy above. An extended review around learning or community change is completed, while a new chapter begins on the domestic front. Use these months to get rooted, dear Aries. Another round of choppy cosmic weather returns in the fall.

As we enter the month of September, grave obstacles will be felt collectively as well as individually. For you Aries, this involves the assertion of your own personal will.

Whether you are launching a personal project or committing to self-improvement, you will face blocks as you begin to assert your own agenda. This will feel frustrating; it will be difficult to push forth on personal plans. It may be significant others thwarting your efforts as misunderstandings with loved ones October through November limit your ability to forge ahead. It is also possible that circumstances beyond your control get in the way.

The only ways to navigate the delays will be to either lean back and wait, or, find a working solution in the interim. To aggress and manipulate will get you nowhere fast, more tired and frustrated. As an Aries, your birthright is to forge ahead. But your intentions will be restricted; again, try to be patient.

November brings a reprieve from obstacles, along with clarity and resolution with important others. It may take until the end of the year before you see in any progress around your efforts. But there will at least be steady gains.

As we close out the year, we enter another eclipse season. The first on November 30th brings a completion to education and learning endeavors. Whatever was under evaluation during the months of May and June will finish.

The solar eclipse on December 14th brings a new start around higher aims and broaden pursuits. You end the year with another new start focused on purposeful and empowered living.

The year ahead comes with many plot twists and turns. But you are still meant to move through these 12 months with greater authority of your journey ahead. What do you see for yourself? What path will you create? You may find that by the end of the year, you have a ton of supporters and well-wishers cheering you on.

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2019

Discipline is not your strong suit, Aries. Quite frankly, if life does not happen fast enough, you usually grow impatient and move on to the next thing. But 2018 brought a shift in you. Not only have you learned to work through struggles in order to reach your aims, you have gained patience, focus, and restraint along the way – especially on the career front.

2019 sees more of the same, dear Ram. Only this time, without much resistance on your part. In fact, the year begins with a set of eclipses; a solar eclipse on January 5th bringing career development (activity that will come with a lot of responsibility), and a lunar eclipse on January 21st bringing a completion of activity around creative projects, children, or artistic pursuits.
These eclipses will feed one another. Some of you may be coming off of family leave to go back to work. Some of you may be launching creative projects that bring professional advancement. No matter how this energy unfolds, a new kind of discipline will be required.

Career developments will continue throughout the spring, and the entire year will see you expanding your vocation and training by stepping outside of your comfort zone. Broadened pursuits feature. But there will be a few hiccups in March. With so much emphasis on your career, it is possible that you begin to run out of steam. Your birthday season will be worth celebrating, of course. But you may have a rather quiet gathering, too tired for a big event. If you are contemplating a big decision, or in need of more rest given your hectic work schedule, lie low. April will see you back to your old self.

Money matters will also be a focus this spring, as you consider ways to better manage your finances by identifying new and/or multiple streams of income. This influence began back in 2018, encouraging you to free up your resources so that you can invest in what is of value to you. Paying down debt, and identifying passive income, are examples of how to gain financial freedom.

Meanwhile, the summer months look to be exciting all round, as two more eclipses peak in July. The solar eclipse on July 2nd brings a new start on the home and family front, while the lunar eclipse on July 16th sees a shift of activity on the career front. A chapter ending is in store at work, which will allow you to get back to the business of navigating domestic matters and planting seeds. Family milestones and creative ventures are highlighted. So too is relocation.

With that said, mid-July through August could bring delays. DIY projects around the house may be prolonged. If you are expecting or opening your home to family, this, too, may necessitate adjustments. Obstacles should resolve by the end of August, so no big family decisions.

The fall comes with heightened activity around artistic endeavors, romantic pursuits, and your schedule overall. These will be fertile months that affect your quality of life. If expecting, health changes may be necessary. Same is true if incorporating a new love affair into your day-to-day.

As we close out the year, extracurriculars will give way to commitments and mergers. A new partnership is possible; financial or contractual agreements are also under review. November sees delays to negotiations. Don’t be too quick to sign on the dotted line. Negotiations are favored in December.

The year ends with a solar eclipse on December 26th and Jupiter’s transit of Capricorn igniting career developments! 2019 sees you working and playing hard; expect gains and success along the way.

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2018

1/7/2018

2018 brings major shifts for everyone dear Ram, your sign included. The planet of shock and revolution will leave the constellation of Aries by mid-year, ending a seven-year cycle of rebellion against your life as you know it! A desire for freedom and autonomy to do your own thing, on your own terms, has made you restless; I hope you were able to liberate yourself in some way. There is still time in the New Year before a new cycle that involves financial independence gets underway.

The year begins with much happening on the career front. If you have been doing the work to further your professional aims, you will soon be challenged to apply what you have learned. These challenges will remain in effect for the next couple of years, and they beg the need for you to be more disciplined and focused to reach career ambitions. Setbacks are possible, and it will be difficult for you to assert your own agenda. Be patient throughout, and remember your ultimate goal.

Eclipses leading into February serve as a chapter ending and beginning. You may find yourself in a new work setting or organizational environment, and should benefit greatly. Of course, starting fresh may require leaving behind a friend, a creative venture, or even a child if returning to work from family leave. The same is true in romance; some element of your personal life will culminate so that you can join with others. There may be a little back and forth on how best to work through these changes, especially with Mercury Retrograde occurring in your sign March-April. Consider your options, and remain patient if your efforts are thwarted. The end of April brings forward momentum.

By the end of spring, financial matters will be of sharper focus. A sudden shift is possible around money, property and possessions, and it will foreshadow what’s to come as changes occur affecting your personal and financial security. This would be a good time to get your money affairs in order.
Meanwhile, three eclipses rock our world this summer, while Mars retrograde (the planet that rules your sign) adds fireworks. As you continue to settle into new group dynamics or company mergers, efforts to fit in, build friends, or use your connections for support may be blocked. This will feel frustrating, and you will be challenged to find another way. But find another way you will; be mindful not to over exert your energy beginning June through the end of August.

A new beginning on the home front, along with a possible new romance or creative venture, could serve as a reprieve while everything else is up in the air. There may be minor delays with children, recreational pursuits, or the launch of a love affair in August. But all will work to your advantage by the time we reach the Autumn Equinox.

Come fall, career and networking obstacles from the summer will be resolved, and shared resources will come up for review. There is a lot of luck-filled expansion in this area the entire year. But October through November brings a re-assessment around financial commitments, business mergers, contract agreements, and emotional ties. Avoid confirming new partnerships until the end of the year.

As 2018 wanes, your attention will shift to higher aims. How do you want to explore the world, expand your education, and broaden your vocation? These questions will be up for consideration with some back and forth. Even travel delays are possible in December. But this will be a precursor to what’s in store next year. You are set to end the year, feeling the holiday cheer, and ready to go another round in 2019!

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2017

1/1/2017

The past few years have brought much in the way of change, Aries. At times, it may have felt as if you were rebelling against your own life, breaking free of the “status quo” in all areas – love, career, finances, etc. The resulting instability has been palpable; I am sure you would agree that there have been several close calls of life unraveling. This theme continues throughout 2017, only this time, you know exactly how to handle whatever comes your way. By 2018, this seven-year cycle of change and abruptness will come to an end; might as well finish strong!

The year begins with a lot of back and forth on the career front. Whether you are negotiating a salary, interviewing for a new position, or simply working on a big proposal at the office, you can expect delays and communication glitches. None of this is good or bad, it just is, dear Ram. So be patient and wait; February will bring progress. The same is true if you are completing a training course that could increase your earning potential, there may be some delays while you wait to receive your final grade or certification.

In fact, learning in general is highlighted this year. Whether you are enrolled in a degree program, or gaining knowledge through travel and cultural pursuits, your mind and personal philosophies are sure to expand. Of course, this may bring a new set of challenges. If you are in an educational environment, you may have to be more focused and disciplined when it comes to your studies. It is equally possible that your own personal beliefs begin to limit you from stepping outside of your comfort zone. Pay attention to where you are being too narrow-minded, Aries. Don’t be afraid to broaden your awareness and understanding.

Eclipses this year will also initiate new chapter beginnings. A romance or creative project may shift or reach completion in February, leading you to deeper insights and clarity around love, children, and you own self-identity when it comes to authentic living. Information revealed now could help you to “get things right” with regards to your own artistry and affairs of the heart as we reach Eclipses in August. You may decide to walk away from a long-standing organization or affiliation, so that you can invest in the projects and people that bring you joy.

In between Eclipses, however, will be some rather jolty energy. March and April will see you reevaluating everything from future life goals, to your look, style, and personal sense of security. You may feel low confidence during these months, and question everything! Be patient as you work out what needs working out – May and June will be better months to move forward with your plans.

The end of year period brings two new turning points around commitments. The planet Jupiter will enhance your love life through most of 2017, with a few low points from February through June. But by the time October comes around, you may be saying “I do” to a new love interest, or cementing a merger in a business partnership. Meanwhile, the Winter Solstice comes with an omen by the name of Saturn (the ringed planet) that will push you to shift focus on career matters. 2018 will be a challenging year when it comes to your vocation and sense of purpose. You’ve got the next 12 months to create a clearer vision for your life – good luck!

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2016

You are finally settling in to what feels like a “new normal,” Aries. Changes and transitions have dominated your life for a while now, and you are learning to just go with the flow. You understand that in order to have the freedom you seek to live life as you see fit, adjustments must be made, especially when it comes to career demands. In fact, professional matters may experience delays in January, so try to hold off on major decisions when it comes to activities on the work front. Ultimately, you are navigating an important process, taking deliberate steps instead of aggressively forcing your will to be done. 2016 sees you calmer, smarter, and in prime position to overcome any obstacles.

This year will be a busy year that demands focus on managing your daily routines, health, and well-being. You will be fine-tuning your way of life so that you can meet your own expectations over the coming 12 months. There are a number of goals that you will pursue in 2016 that stem around career and higher learning, and you recognize the need to be more organized in order to achieve them. Eclipses in March will ensure that psychological baggage and faulty relationships no longer trip you up as you push forth on your own agenda. Not only will you begin to plan accordingly, you will also shift your mindset and attitude as necessary.

As mentioned, education is highlighted this year in an attempt to broaden your knowledge base and expertise, and develop new personal philosophies. Of course, this will require hard work and discipline on your part, but you have enough cosmic support to keep you focused. You are used to impulsively following your own entrepreneurial spirit, but the Universe is insisting you do some prep work in advance. Be on the lookout, however, for delays beginning in April. If you are traveling overseas for work or for school, applying to a new certification program, or awaiting word on an essay submitted for publishing, there may be a few hiccups and do-overs. You will have to keep a healthy perspective; have faith and stick to your plans, otherwise your optimism will wane. April through June will be the most difficult months of 2016, with May being the worst. In fact, I suggest you avoid making any major decisions in May, especially as it pertains to finances. June will bring a big turning point, with faster progress in July.

The last quarter of 2016 will fly by, and summer eclipses will further ignite your motivation to reach an important goal. There may be delays again in September that beg the need for you to refocus your energy on health matters and daily responsibilities. But you will be in the right frame of mind with increased confidence to attend to what needs tending to. Meanwhile, relationships with significant partners will begin to expand toward the end of the year; this will be a big theme that plays out into 2017! Until then, refined habits that keep you productive and efficient will be key to manifesting what you desire in 2016. Do this, and not only will your health improve (especially in October), you will end the year wiser, and on a high note.

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2015

Your desire for freedom to do as you please remains a theme in 2015, Aries. Many of you have already experienced some level of chaos as a result, and the lessons learned center on your ability to create better structures for your life. Authority figures continue to make personal transitions difficult, while financial restrictions have also contributed. It’s been quite the whirlwind to say the least, but your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

The beginning of the year would be an opportune time to network and link up with like-minded folks who can push you towards your dreams for the future. Your social calendar may be full, and don’t be surprised if certain connections go MIA, or can no longer deliver on what they’ve promised. March is when you will see forward movement either way, but it may come with some tension. Demands at work could keep you from pursuing your own goals, which might prove frustrating, but your reaction will make all the difference (expect to make a few adjustments). It would help to use your gut instincts before acting on ambitions in general, which may involve some level of self-restraint. A Solar Eclipse on March 20th could enhance your intuition, clueing you in on the right time to make a bold move.

Meanwhile, April’s Lunar Eclipse in your opposite sign could mark the end of an important association, or deepen it. But whatever you experience, keep in mind that romance will still be highlighted throughout the year (peak energy occurs in late summer). A chance meeting is very possible in September, but you’ll want to hold off until October before committing – your feelings won’t yet be clear. Independent projects in general will provide the inspiration needed to move past limiting relationships, and coupled Aries might even decide to have a baby with a significant other. All in all, fertile energy is available, whether you’re giving birth to a brainchild or a physical one. You may have to go back to the drawing board in August, but results should be positive, nonetheless.

As you move into the end of the year, you will discover that the next learning curve involves expanding your personal truths and philosophies. It’s not enough to simply know what you know; you have to broaden your awareness in order to evolve into who it is you are trying to become. Going back to school or exploring new options that take you out of your comfort zone will be necessary, and once you begin to acknowledge a new truth and philosophy, you will have to start living it. Your ultimate aim is to sate your thirst for growth and knowledge; May and June would be a good time to research different programs that increase your expertise, but wait until July before signing up. By the end of the year, you will notice that daily affairs and responsibilities take up much more of your time. Bigger tasks and a hectic schedule require you to be mindful of your health while succeeding at time management. As you can see, “structure” is your word for the New Year, and it will be necessary if you hope to be liberated from whatever holds you back.

Happy New Year, Aries!

Aries in 2014

1/1/2014

You should be accustomed to life’s curve balls, Aries. It’s nothing to take personally; it’s just the Universe’s way of pushing you to live up to your fullest potential. It would be a waste of energy to feel sorry for yourself, especially because if you look back at 2013, you’ll see just how unexpected events wound up being blessings in disguise. An overwhelming expression of gratitude is really how you should start the New Year, with the added caveat of knowing that 2014 will be a year of profound growth. As the next 12 months unfold, there will be more surprises and more reasons to be thankful. But before we get into why that will be the case, let’s talk about relationships.

Since 2009, you’ve been learning how to be more disciplined with how you do relationships. You’re more aware of what you want and how to achieve relationship bliss, getting better at overcoming the challenges that arise when forging a commitment (whether intimate or professional). No matter if your relationships are stronger now, or if you’ve had to sever ties; you understand what it means to compromise, and that the needs of significant others can’t revolve around you and yours. These themes will come up for review during the first half of the year, as partnerships of all kinds will be highlighted. If a healthier bond is your primary aim in a business venture or with a romantic prospect, you’ll have to take on a more responsible approach, possibly becoming more accommodating than what you’re used to.

I’m sure this sounds familiar, dear Ram. Over the years there has been someone, or something, putting obstacles in the way of your personal agenda. Either an employer or authority figure has ignored appeals to be more enterprising, or obligations to others have kept you from pursuing independent projects and initiatives. As you navigate the inevitable changes and adjustments that will surface in 2014, it will require extra strength on your part to manage certain frustrations. In fact, if you can somehow direct any restlessness within through a more personalized outlet, you’ll find that all other matters begin to fall neatly into place.

This year, creative projects that stimulate your artistic talents will help ease tension, and could very well draw the interests of an investor who wants to make your dreams come true. Home and family offer peace of mind as well; changing residences or welcoming a new addition to your kin is entirely possible. The big news is that romance and recreational activities will keep you busy towards the end of the year, while Eclipses and other celestial transits that direct your destiny help relieve some of the internal pressure for change (look to April and October as peak periods). You’re in a good position to make this your best year yet! In order to take advantage of all the possibilities, you’ll have to bend, be flexible and hold yourself accountable for doing what makes you feel good, without forcing your will onto others.

Happy New Year, Aries!
