Virgo in 2023

1/1/2023

A gradual build-up of energy begins right at the start of the year as the planet Mars stations direct in the sign of Gemini on January 13, where it has been retrograde since October 2022.

All the planets in our solar system do what’s called, “retrograde,” with Mercury (your ruling planet in Astrology) being the planet that retrogrades most frequently throughout the calendar year. A retrograde planet gives the optical illusion of orbiting the almighty Sun backwards, which can be symbolized as a nudge from the Universe to pause and reroute where necessary, based on where the planet is affecting us in our natal charts.

Now, Mars in Astrology connects us to how we initiate our deepest passions. But while retrograde, assertive efforts feel blocked. Such blocks and thwarted motivation can be frustrating for us down below. So, as the Warrior planet gets back to its regular pace and orbit, you can anticipate that the affairs of life will amplify, a momentum that continues through the spring and summer seasons.

Career matters, professional goals and ambitions, as well as activities at the office will begin to move forward, once more, after a period of slowdowns. This is especially true as it relates to artistic launches, youth, and entrepreneurial collaborations; Mercury will also station direct in the sign of Capricorn on January 19, where it’s been retrograde since December 2022 bringing hiccups around creative projects and activities centering children.

In fact, students, child’s play, authentic living/being, and even love affairs feature throughout the months of January and February. If working with youth in an education setting, launching a creative collaboration, or figuring out a work romance (!), the direct stations of Mercury and Mars may very well be connected.

This will, no doubt, influence busy days, Virgo. Interestingly, by the time we enter the spring months, energy connected to lifestyle changes and balance, overall, will undergo a major shift as two momentous cosmic events develop above: Saturn will ingress (enter) the sign of Pisces on March 8, and Pluto will ingress the sign of Aquarius on March 24.

Both these planetary shifts are set to bring important lessons to humanity below, especially in the way of social unrest, spiritual growth, and revolutionary coups. For you, Virgo, daily affairs, ongoing work matters, and other elements of your regular routines may experience a kind of restructuring (or even dismantling) if it inhibits you from curating a healthy and sustainable way of life. What’s more, important others feature, whether merging lives with a romantic tie or forging a business partnership. These things come with added weight and responsibility.

Spring will be the time to direct your energy in assertive ways. You will feel quite driven and determined as Mars continues to move in forward motion increasing professional demands. Opportunities during this first quarter or 2023 may beg the need for you to get clear on your overall direction in life. This will be amplified on April 20 when a solar eclipse peaks, encouraging you to take more risks in intimate matters (business, financial, or relational) that see you stepping outside of your comfort zone.

However, Mercury will station retrograde again the day after the eclipse on April 21, bringing delays to new investments and aspirational aims. This is especially true if taking out a business loan or merging in a union with someone of a different background. It will feel like you’re taking two steps forward and two steps back as you consider your options. But these things will resolve when the Messenger planet stations direct on May 15, and most likely in your favor.

The lunar eclipse peaks on May 5, meanwhile, wrapping up ongoing communications and negotiations. Discussions around intimate matters may conclude, whether negotiating a salary, a prenuptial agreement, or experiencing breakthroughs in a therapy setting.

Of course, with Mercury retrograde, there will still be delays. But as Jupiter shifts into the sign of Taurus on May 17, you may be feeling inspired to take new leaps of faith that prove furthering, Virgo. It’s as if you’re working through a “process” that on the other side, sees you feeling hopeful and rejuvenated. Jupiter’s transit through the sign of the Bull gives you wings to explore.

A surge of energy continues as we reach the summer solstice, in the meantime. This year is fast and furious! Social engagements, time spent resting and in retreat, and personal goals all feature!

That said, the close of July sees Venus stationing retrograde on the 23rd inspiring a deep dive inward for self-inquiry and reflection. Inner thoughts, considerations, and behind the scenes questioning regarding a romantic link or even financial uncertainties are just a few examples of how Venus – the planet that connects us to love, beauty, money, and personal aesthetics – will be of impact while retrograde.

This gets a little dicey as Mercury stations retrograde in your sign once more, just a month later on August 24. It’s your birthday season at this point of the year – personal goals, self-assertion, and an independent agenda are where you’ll be focused. But there could be some back-and-forth as it relates to personal changes and decisions. Whether recovering from a health scare or lacking motivation when your solar return hits, a swell of momentum may be delayed courtesy of Venus and Mercury retrograde.

Such matters will resolve in September when Venus stations direct on the 4th and Mercury stations direct on the 16th. Internal angst and contemplation, for examples, will lead to new insights and greater clarity. Personal decisions can be made having spent time in reflection. What may feel like a suspenseful holding pattern finally lifts!

October sees two more eclipses, meanwhile. A solar event on the 14th brings a new start to financial matters and the lunar eclipse on the 28th wraps up activities that have been broadening and aspirational. FYI, these eclipses are connected to the spring pair of eclipses.

You may be on the receiving end of a license or professional certification that can be leveraged for higher pay. Same is true if paying off student loans that free up more resources to use at your disposal, or finalizing an academic degree that can be applied to your career.

Remember, much of 2023 sees you focused on high achievements that lead to a life of greater meaning and fulfillment, Virgo. Whatever chapters conclude as they relate to new experiences and expanded opportunities will remind you of your worth and what you value in life. Consider these lunations to be the catalyst for important lifestyle changes (as previously mentioned) that put you on a new personal trajectory.

As we close out the year, the pace of life will pick up! Short trips are highlighted, along with new learning and education, increased correspondence, and of course, home and family matters as we veer into the holiday season.

Actually, November through December sees a surge of energy building around time spent with close loved ones. And Mercury will retrograde one last time on December 13, bringing hiccups on the domestic front.

If visiting family for the holidays, travel delays could disrupt your plans. If hosting relatives, unexpected repairs at home could bring stress. This could also be interpreted as tension with loved ones. But not to worry – these matters will resolve in the new year!

Aside from Mercury’s backward spin, Virgo, your year ends on a rather hopeful note!

Virgo in 2022

Of all the Zodiac signs, you stand to begin the year on a relatively fine note. Of course, with Venus retrograde entering 2022, and Mercury retrograde soon to follow, none of us will be exempt from the cosmic shenanigans that kick things off!

For you, dear Virgo, there’s a buzz of energy centering children, romance, fun, recreation, and creative projects. You may be vibrating at your highest, letting your hair down and inner child out to play. But if I’m being honest, you and I both know of your tendency to forebode joy, to reference Brené Brown.

You may only allow so much joy, play, and romance into your life before slamming on the breaks of caution and, “what ifs.” You may only allow yourself to be seen to a certain extent, before putting up a guard. Over the past few years, the planet Pluto has been nudging you to step more fully into your light, which requires vulnerability. The dwarf planet of transformation has insisted that you come from behind the scenes (where you like it), and onto a stage in full colors.

Let’s face it, Virgo, your light shines bright, like it or not, and the beginning of 2022 could bring experiences that force you out from hiding behind a curtain of modesty, getting to the root of why you choose to stay hidden. This all coincides with a cosmic turning point early in the year that will inspire aspirations and broader aims taking you out of your comfort zone.

Planet alignments have been instigating a growing feeling of restlessness, especially since the start of the pandemic. The great call to the unknown grows louder in the coming months, conspiring with an ongoing message from the Universe to come out and play and receive applause along with all the things that would make your heart content.

Once we reach the end of February, the real start to the year begins. This will see you flourishing in creative projects, on good terms with your children (or mentoring youth), and possibly even caught up in a new love affair. That last possibility is a BIG possibility, too. The planet Jupiter is moving through your relationship sign (Pisces) most of 2022, bringing opportunities for growth and enhanced connections with others.

As we reach the month of spring, life will be moving full steam ahead. Travel is highlighted, broadcasting, dreams in the making, academic pursuits and vocational aims that lead to professional advancement will motivate you to aim high, Virgo. Doing so will further contribute to themes throughout the year encouraging you to step outside of your comfort zone, and in the process, you will discover more of your unique self.

This activity also coincides with eclipses late spring. A solar event on April 30th brings a new opportunity to further your own beliefs, causes, and future goals, while the lunar event on May 16th gives permission for you to do so. If you are applying for a degree program, you may receive news of your acceptance. If you are finishing up an important exam or certification, you may receive a promotion or new position at work. These are examples of how the eclipses will feed each other, but another Mercury retrograde in between these lunations may bring delays when it comes to your attempts to expand – travel, learning, and career matters may be impacted.

June sees forward momentum, however, and most likely in your favor once Mercury stations direct in the first week. So be patient. You will even start to notice career matters expand throughout the remainder of the year, and new leaps of faith may also contribute to growing commitments and investments once Jupiter enters the sign of Aries for a mid-year stint.

You may be investing your resources in an entrepreneurial venture. Another interpretation would be merging in a sexual union with someone of a different background and ethnicity. No matter your experience, the summer months will be “hot” and ripe with opportunities!

A quiet reflection period also features mid-summer, but this will be short lived as focus around outward goals, self-growth/development, as well as money and finances fill your time moving into the fall months. Life picks up around this time, so be sure to indulge the energy afoot!

By mid-September, another round of delays courtesy of yet another Mercury retrograde will impact money and personal endeavors. You may be in search of funding to launch an independent project or looking to make vanity changes. You may also be clarifying your worth, dear Virgo, especially in the eyes of another.

October brings resolution; you will know where you stand and what it is you’re working with in the way of resources. Life will remain active with short trips, increased communications, and learning endeavors. Career matters will continue to amplify, too, but a few obstacles on the work front will soon unfold.

The month of October begins a highly active cosmic period starting with another pair of eclipses. A solar event on October 25th offers a new beginning centered around learning, education, and new agreements. A lunar event on November 8th concludes a dream in the making. You could be on the receiving end of a degree having completed your thesis, for example. This could also look like clearance for travel, or a legal matter that’s been decided in your favor. What unfolds will most likely involve your career, especially once Mars stations retrograde.

Of all the planets, Mars can be the hardest to navigate while retrograde. Its energy connects us to our force of will, so when it does a backward spin around the almighty Sun, our energy feels blocked. For you, dear Virgo, this involves your work and profession. You may be launching a major project that comes with a lot of moving parts, and you can expect some obstacles that require you to bob and weave and (re)shuffle your energy as needed.

This may prove frustrating. If you are unveiling a major innovation and technology, publishing a major communications platform, or simply in the running for tenure at a university, there may be several “outstanding items” that require your attention. Not everything will be easily managed; you may have to become a "master adaptor" as a result, as this energy could feel somewhat “manic.”

Lucky for you, you are as efficient as you are adaptable with multiple plans up your sleeve. When things get a little unwieldy courtesy of Mars Rx, just fall back on your resourceful self. Try not to fix everything – you won’t be able to – and preserve your energy for what you can control.

Mars stations direct on January 13, 2023, so the kinks around professional plans won’t resolve until the first quarter of the new year; all the more reason to pace yourself. The rest of 2022 still sees energy focused on short trips, and eventually family, romance, and play – activities that will serve as nice distractions from the whirlwind of end-of-year cosmic events.

The coming months will be eventful, to say the least, dear Virgo. We’re all still getting our bearings as we continue to navigate a new normal after the pandemic of 2020. So, keep practicing grace with others, and especially with yourself. Of all the signs of the Zodiac, yours has the highest chance of ending the year on a high note!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, VIRGO!

Virgo in 2021

2020 was a challenging year for all the signs of the Zodiac. You, no doubt, felt anxiety around so much uncertainty. But at the same time, the mutable energy you possess helped you to adapt and remain flexible.

Your ability to persevere at different points of the year can be accredited to you living more authentically, exercising greater vulnerability as you allow yourself to be seen. Creative projects, romantic prospects and activities involving children (brainchildren in the form of artistic ideas count, too) have forced you out from behind the mask of modesty you’re so used to wearing, making you more visible to others and acknowledged for all that makes you special and unique.

Having stepped more fully into your unique powers, you’ll navigate 2021 like a boss. In fact, a boss-like mentality will be required as new themes underway impact your health, quality of life and daily responsibilities.

As a Virgo, you pride yourself on begin productive, efficient, and getting things done. That’s why you’ll be able to manage a growing list of chores and responsibilities throughout the year – all things that you will, most likely, enjoy, but also find burdensome and stressful. New routines and structures that help you maximize your time will be necessary. This is especially true when it comes to health and wellness, along with changing dynamics on the career front.

You get a taste of what this all entails right at the start of the year during the month of February, when hiccups to your day-to-day are highlighted. Canceled appointments, prolonged diagnoses and misunderstandings amongst colleagues are bound to cause disruption to your schedule, begging the need for you to adjust and incorporate new routines that better serve you. In the process, smoother days will come by the time we reach the month of March.

Spring season, meanwhile, sees you focused on new commitments, higher aims and dreams in the making. Whether undergoing a specialized training or taking time to travel the world (pending COVID-19 restrictions), wanderlust will take over, exposing you to new opportunities.

This is all quite fitting as a theme that’s been in effect for a number of years has been encouraging you to make a pivot in life for the purpose of purposeful living. By the time we reach the first eclipse season of 2021, broadened life experiences will start to impact you on the career front.

May 26th and June 10th bring a lunar and solar event, respectively. Domestic matters may reach conclusion as an opportunity on the career front is presented. You may be relocating for work or ending “work from home” as coronavirus cases decline courtesy of a vaccination. This could also look like launching a home grown endeavor that leads to success and greater life fulfillment.

That said, June brings delayed starts in a new career chapter. Project timelines may need to be pushed back. This could also look like adjustments made if heading back into an office setting. Be patient as hiccups develop. All will move forward by July. Remember, themes in effect will challenge you to tweak your regular routines anyway for the purpose of eliminating stress and anxiety.

The summer months seem to be filled with lighter energy! Social engagements, slower days that allow for rest, and your birthday season are apt to bring restoration and renewal. You would be wise to take advantage of pleasurable pursuits; September will see you shift focus to personal aims and focus on money matters.

This will be important entering the fall because delays on the money front will develop. Contract agreements may need to be re-negotiated, or settlement on a property may need to be pushed back. This could also look like stalled payments or funding delays. As things unfolds, avoid make major financial decisions. The end of October brings progress as we enter yet another eclipse season.

A lunar and solar eclipse peak November 19th and December 4th, respectively, centering home and family. After a year of discipline around health, busy days and quality living, you’ll be able to focus on what matters most – domestic bliss and family. Whether purchasing a property after delays during the fall, or hosting relatives for the holiday season, this will be a feel good time to prioritize emotional wellness.

What’s more, relationship matters will be hyper focused, too! An influence that begins in December will bring growth, renewal and enhancement to new and existing ties. This coincides with increasing activity around romance and recreation; in fact, a love interest from your past may resurface as you consider how best to move forward in a union.

2022 brings clarity around romantic prospects, so just indulge pleasure for now and remember to let your light shine. This year ahead ends on a cheery note as you open up to more joy, affection, child’s play and recreation.

Happy New Year, Virgo!

Virgo in 2020

The year ahead will inspire you to gradually, steadily and strategically give birth to the most authentic version of self, Virgo, and I’m hear for all of it! For years, you have methodically worked toward greater creative expression as you shared your gifts with us – your audience. We see you, boo.

A solar eclipse that occurred toward the end of 2019 on December 26th serves as your kickstart. This eclipse, matched with other cosmic trends, will ensure that your light shines and that people take notice. This could be the beginning of a love affair, or the successful launch of an artistic venture.

This means, of course, that you must step out from behind everybody else. We know you prefer to be the one pulling the strings instead of on stage, but on stage is exactly where you belong. The lunar eclipse that follows on January 10th sees you leaving behind the group or troupe for your own show, and guess who the starring role will be? You.

As you begin your labor pains, significant others may be on the sidelines waiting for your cue on where they stand. Important partners may not support this new and improved version of you, or maybe they do, but do not know how to show up for you. Back and forth is indicated during the late winter months, so be patient as you work to find a balance between “self” and “other.”

The spring months, meanwhile, see you focused on new commitments. You may be considering a leap of faith at this time, whether it is the start of your own entrepreneurial venture, or a hiatus abroad to expand upon this year of self-expression. What develops now may be revisited in the fall, so be deliberate with any financial investments or partnership mergers.

You continue to do your thing throughout the year until cosmic weather brings a storm mid-May through June. An extended review will be in effect impacting you on the career front. Plans put in motion may need to be reconsidered as professional opportunities are considered. Whether this comes in the form of a performance evaluation or your candidacy is being considered for a promotion, an assessment is underway.

Keep in mind that you’ve been putting your best foot forward since we opened 2020, Virgo – you’re prepared for new opportunities. Any anxiety felt may be with regards to how long things take to solidify. Eclipses and a mercury retrograde phase will only prolong an ongoing process.

We’ve got three eclipses this summer instead of the regular two. A lunar eclipse peaks on June 5th, and then again on July 5th, bringing a completion of activities on the domestic front and with creative aims. You may find that a career opportunity is offered to you as a result of your unique skills and talents, which may require a relocation.

Same is true if you are completing an important renovation on the home front, or you and a romantic partner decide to move in together. This could also be interpreted as the completion of an important milestone for a child who lives with you.

The solar eclipse, meanwhile, peaks right at summer solstice on June 21st. This event will bring a potent new start involving a new affiliation. The extended assessment may lead to a new start within a department, company or organization. Same is true if a creative venture receives funding from associate investors.

As all this energy unfolds, however, there are still pauses and delays. A new start is coming in an important group or institutional setting, but mercury retrograde may change plans temporarily before you know where you stand. Be patient as things settle.

The end of July and into August sees a calming influence in effect after a few stormy weeks. You will get a brief reprieve; tumultuous weather returns by September.

The end of fall brings turbulent cosmic events that will impact us all. You, dear Virgo, will experience this the most in important commitments, contracts and other agreements. Contract negotiations may reach a standstill. Partnership agreements may expire leaving you uncertain of where you stand in a business deal. A home mortgage may also undergo grave delays – all these setbacks will be in effect through mid-November.

October further complicates things as another mercury retrograde cycle sees delays around personal finances and resources. If you have money tied into a stock or investment, investment obstacles may bring additional money concerns. Same is true if a property matter requires more spending on your part than you had anticipated.

This part of the year will be the most challenging, and your only options will be to either lean back or find a working resolution in the interim. November brings a shift as obstacles involving personal finances, mergers and investments lift. But it will take until the end of the year before steady progress is made.

Calm is restored at the end of 2020, and another pair of eclipses will close us out. A lunar eclipse on November 30th brings a completion on the career front most likely related to what was under review during the months of May and June. Meanwhile, a solar eclipse on December 14th brings a new start on the domestic front; you will shift your attention away from work to focus on your family.

This topsy turvy year will keep you on your toes, Virgo. But at least you will show up authentically you. Remember that creative self-expression is your aim as you receive more love, acknowledgement and recognition for all that makes you special and unique.

A commitment to your own truth will ensure that you end the year on a successful note, and busy days will follow you into 2021 as new opportunities abound. Better get organized!

Happy New Year, Virgo!

Virgo in 2019

Of all the signs of the Zodiac, you, dear Virgo, have had the best experience of 2018. Of course, this does not mean that you were exempt from your own set of challenges, delays and setbacks. But you did overcome them like a boss, which is probably why you will enter 2019 on a high note.

In fact, the year begins with a set of eclipses that will inspire you to greater empowerment. The solar eclipse on January 5th brings a new start to an artistic venture, while the lunar eclipse on January 21st begs the need for you to release whatever fear you harbor as you take on the new beginning that awaits. These eclipses will ensure that you step into your power Virgo, and it is about damn time.

The pressure will be on throughout the spring as tests are thrown your way, primarily involving significant others. If you are launching a creative collaboration or find that important partners distract you from your own personal agenda, delays and setbacks will be highlighted. The same is true if you are navigating turbulent times in a new romance that began earlier in the year. No matter how this energy unfolds, try to avoid big relationship decisions. All will resolve by April.

In fact, inspiration abounds as we enter the month of April. Higher aims, travel, and other worldly pursuits will encourage you to leave the past behind as you embark on new journeys that take you out of your comfort zone. This was a theme that began in the spring of 2018, one that will motivate you to take greater leaps of faith if doing so brings fulfillment and meaning to your life. Social causes and philosophical shifts will motivate personal growth and development.

The summer months will be active too, as a new set of eclipses initiate beginnings and endings. The solar eclipse on July 2nd offers a fresh start in a new social group or network, while the lunar eclipse on July 16th sees you finishing up a creative project. You may be launching a product or platform that requires the support of investors from different companies, or reaching a milestone with an adult child who leaves the nest.

Exciting events are featured throughout the entire summer, but an extended low-energy cycle may keep you isolated mid-July through August. If you are feeling more tired than usual, lethargic, or simply under the weather, give yourself permission to lie low amidst the buzz of activity. How you align with new affiliations may be under consideration too. if opportunities are presented at the solar eclipse; clarity will not be revealed until the end of August, right in time for your birthday season.

The fall months add pep to your step after a sleepy period that sees you recovering from delays. Soon, concentrated cosmic energy will be focused on personal ambitions and financial dealings. Mental pursuits come into focus too, whether you are taking on a new learning endeavor or publishing a manuscript. Increased communication, writing, short trips, trainings and presentations fill quite a bit of your time and energy. Delays are even possible in November; miscommunication may cause misunderstandings, while traffic jams prolong travel for the holidays. Obstacles will resolve by December, so try not to sign a contract, and consider revising important documents.

As we close out the year, home and family matters will come into sharper focus. In fact, domestic activities will be in effect all year long, bringing emotional ease and comfort at home and with loved ones. Meanwhile, the day after Christmas comes with a solar eclipse, bringing yet another new beginning to artistic aims, romance, and offspring. You end the year just as you started it: empowered and focused on what brings you joy and happiness.

Virgo in 2018

You should be feeling more grounded and emotionally well as we enter the new year. The holiday season may have brought some stress around home and family; in fact, 2017 begged the need for firmer boundaries in all familial ties, along with greater nourishment of you own personal foundations. Hopefully you are feeling more secure, as the Universe gently nudges you to come out from underneath your safe shell, and share your gifts with the world.

You will be challenged in 2018 to create more time and space for fun, recreation, and romance. Come out and shine you must, no longer hiding behind a façade that presents you as serious and reserved. Gifts or talents you have neglected will need to be revived. The same is true if you are not loving to your heart’s content. This is about authenticity, Virgo – being your most authentic self, and living your most authentic life. Eclipses in February will put you on track as you release what blocks you from experiencing more pleasure in life, and begin to schedule it in to your day-to-day. If you have children, are focused on a creative venture or love affair, your time and commitment will be required.

As we move toward the spring, your attention will shift to mergers and contractual agreements. If you are taking out a loan, signing a new contract, or saying “I do,” energy will be heightened around shared resources. There may be some back and forth with these matters; decisions will not be confirmed until the end of April. It is possible, too, that discussions regarding important commitments center on an opportunity that could propel you in to a new life chapter. Higher learning, travel, and vocational training are featured, as a planetary shift encourages you to step outside of your comfort zone. You may be taking a risk that leads to a greater sense of purpose. Be on the lookout for sudden developments as we reach the month of June.

The summer months bring choppy cosmic weather with three eclipses instead of the regular two. Networking, friendships, and your involvement in a new group setting are highlighted, but something must be left behind – a job, longstanding obligation, or a personal project – to take advantage of a new start. Mid-June through mid-August bring severe obstacles with daily affairs. Disruptions to your schedule, and project delays, could lead to health matters. Something must give so that you feel more settled, and July’s lunar eclipse could bring a hard stop/no that will force you to find another way around setbacks.

A third eclipse in August comes with a reprieve; an extended time out will be in effect, and your quality of life will depend on it. It will be important to give yourself permission to rest and reflect as you navigate big decisions. You will soon feel clear on next steps.

September, onward, sees everyone coming out of the tunnel of summer! You will begin to feel more energized and motivated to pursue your own agenda, and you may be more encouraged to focus on self-growth and personal development. Education is highlighted – writing, public engagements, and other forms of communicative ventures see you speaking truth to power. This is a theme in effect all year, with a review in store October through November. Whether writing a book or teaching a class, be clear with what you say and communicate. You will be heard.

The end of year period brings another new shift expanding energy on the home and family front. You will feel grounded, possibly in a new home that brings foundational security. Minor delays are possible with family, but all will be well as we enter 2019.

I would say that 2016 was filled with lessons learned, dear Virgo. From your emotional health, to your responsibilities with home and family, to your love life – you have been in the thick of some important growth spurts and karmic cleansing. 2017 looks to be about the same, only this time you are wiser, clearer with what matters, and prepared to put yourself first when it comes to what you value and what is true. I am so proud of you, my friend. Life has been a challenge.

The year begins with a few snags around romance, children, and recreational pursuits. Plans made that allow for fun and play may need to be rescheduled. Activity with children could also throw a wrench in things. Meanwhile, romance seems dead, or at least on pause, as confusion with potential suitors persists. I realize that so far, your forecast sounds less than thrilling, but this is only temporary. Remember, you are prepared to work through such roadblocks without suffering much for it (you have learned how to preserve yourself when needed). Things will begin to move forward by February.

In fact, February is an important month that could lead to a fresh start with a new love (or a returning love, if you deem them worthy). Eclipses this month will help you to release subconscious fears that get in the way of relationship bliss, and usher in a new beginning to finally get it right. Stay cognizant of what it is that you value as you navigate partnerships with anyone you would consider a significant other, Virgo (business, romantic, etc.). Also, keep in mind that you must do some healing in love as well, so that your wounds do not block intimacy. No more playing Mr./Ms. Martyr or Victim – you deserve much more.

Commitments will fill your time even more so during the spring months of March and April. Whether you are merging for love, investing money, dividing assets, or forging a joint venture, there will be a lot of activity around important agreements. You may come up against a few obstacles; a tax refund might be delayed, or an emotional tie may begin to feel unstable. Throughout the back and forth, questions around how, and with whom you are invested, will surface. It will be important that you fully trust the return on any investment when sharing your resources. April in particular brings more talks and negotiations. May/June will be months when plans can begin to move forward.

The fall months, meanwhile, see a few new shifts that could benefit you as we reach the end of the year. After deep considerations and reflection, you may decide to relocate (if you haven’t moved already). Short trips to new towns and neighborhoods could inspire you to jump ship, especially if you know that it would be good for your own emotional health and well-being, or if it is necessary for the sake of your family. December marks another important shift in your forecast that sees you finding more ways to live authentically. You will begin to focus on creating and manifesting your life’s vision, whether it be in the form of more artistic projects, romance, recreation, children, or all of the above.

2017 looks to be an enriching year, Virgo, one where you stand to gain greater meaning in life, and focus on what matters most.

Virgo in 2016

2016 will be a year of new perspectives, new development, and a new you. You went through some growing pains in 2015, and this will continue to a certain extent. However, you are starting to realize the need to stay grounded, centered, and to build the foundations that will support you and your life. Only you can do this, Virgo. Only you can be responsible for yourself. There are times when it won’t seem fair, and you will be exhausted. But this is a necessary process that will leave you more empowered than you have ever felt. The heavens above have got your back!

The year begins with an assessment of where you are, and how you will move ahead as we move through the next 12 months. The desire to pause may be the result of a romance that hits a snag in January; try to hold off on any major decisions in love. Creative projects, recreational pursuits, and fun with folks who encourage you to tap into your inner child will feature, and this activity will be what inspires you to live life more authentically. Meanwhile, Eclipses in March bring new beginnings in partnerships, whether business or pleasure. A romance that finds sturdy ground in February could peak to a full-blown commitment by September. Of course, this means getting clear on what you value in partnership, and of course, acknowledging your worth.

A major theme that will play out this year centers on home and family. This was a theme in 2015 that may have brought a few jolts and misfortune. As the structures beneath your feet and in the way of family dynamics, bring restrictions and limitations, you will be challenged to identify new structures and dynamics that make you feel emotionally secure. This means tending to your own garden, planting some new seeds, and focusing on the core of your being in a way that ensures long-term stability. April through June sees much focus on domestic matters; some of you may be relocating, or taking on additional financial responsibilities for close relatives. This three-month period will be stressful, with May proving to be the most difficult. You will try to be reasonable, but your own personal philosophies will be challenged. It is equally possible that your desire to travel, or enroll in an education program, is put on hold due to family obligations. Important partners may even question how you live your life. Remember, however, that it is your life. Stand firm with what is true and avoid alienating others. The month of May begs the need to hold off on big decisions again. Consider this a momentary blip that will work itself out.

July through the end of summer will bring an important shift from this mid-year activity, while fall eclipses put you back on your A-game. Remember what I said at the beginning of your forecast; new perspectives, development, and a new you are in store, even with the challenges you may face. The latter half of 2016 sees you thriving with increased energy to focus on personal goals. September might bring delays, so wait until October to push forth on your agenda. By this point, a new phase begins that will bring more in the way of abundance and material wealth. What can I say; sometimes life gives us lemons. Sometimes life gives us magic.

Happy New Year, Virgo!

Virgo in 2015

2016 is going to be a banner year for you Virgo, and you will begin to see the perks during the summer of 2015. But before your cup runneth over with abundance, courtesy of the planet Jupiter’s transit through your sign, you must first tend to more personal matters – namely your relationships, your emotional well-being, and those elements of self that remain hidden.

If you’ve been contemplating a life makeover, you’ve got the right attitude! But the mask you wear that hides your unique self must be removed so that you can express your authenticity. As you seek freedom from self-imposed limitations that block change, you will soon be at liberty to choose who you want to be, without any fears or hang-ups. This of course takes courage, and involves a deep transformation. But the journey will be worth the effort as you learn new ways of loving yourself and others, scars and all. Guidance from a life coach or therapist could be of great benefit. You alone can only process so much; sometimes the assistance of a detached observer can help us to apply to our everyday lives what we’ve gleaned from self reflection. As Jupiter’s energy slowly propels your life forward, there’s no time like the present to begin this kind of inner work.

As the year progresses, family affairs become front and center. Many of you might take on added responsibility with close relatives, while others will be focused on clearing out emotional baggage. Whatever unfolds, you can expect the experience to be weighty. You will be challenged to become your own authority with regards to how you nurture yourself and those ties that bind. Upbringing and family dynamics will come up for review, as you attempt to identify how past conditioning still influences your lifestyle today. It may be time for you to stop assigning blame to events that happened in your childhood, and hold yourself accountable for any present-day emotional responses. This is heavy stuff, and your commitment to doing the work will be necessary. I suggest you be as detail oriented in the process, as you would be anywhere else.

The density of this energy will continue through 2017, but at least it will be matched with some positive developments! For starters, eclipses this year will mark new beginnings on the personal and relationship fronts. Be on the lookout for activity, with peak periods in March and September (just be mindful of those rose colored glasses you sometimes wear when it comes to important others). Meanwhile, career gains are highlighted during the spring, and if you can hold off on a major move between May and June, you may find that your patience and timing bring new opportunities for professional advancement. October is also a good month to build your income and promote your talents. Negotiations will be in effect throughout September.

How 2015 plays out is really up to you, Virgo. Don’t let petty distractions that come in the form of family, self-doubts, or anxiety be what cause you to miss out on a year of profound growth.

Happy New Year, Virgo!

Virgo in 2014

At the end of 2013, many Virgos were left feeling empowered. A return to innocence and artistry brought inspiration, and what you were able to create brought a sense of pride. As humbled souls who don’t usuallyboast, Virgos take success in stride. But lately, you’ve been craving increased recognition for your skills and talents, and that desire isn’t something that will subside anytime soon. The energy that kicks off the New Year may see you going back to the drawing board in search of what makes you unique, with the intent of getting a better return for your product. Whether you’re “selling” yourself in a romance, or with a personal project, allow enough time to rework your strategy. In doing so, you’ll be the one who benefits the most.

As you reassess certain recreational pursuits, be sure to ask yourself whether or not there’s any value with what you’re trying to manifest. On the one hand, it doesn’t make sense to engage in an activity where there’s no possibility of reward. On the other hand, you don’t want to miss out on an enterprising opportunity. Personal values will come up against a growing need to invest in joint ventures, and the energy surrounding the opposing interests will be intriguing. This suggests that you find a working balance. Meanwhile, if you do decide to merge for business or for pleasure, beware of those rose colored glasses you tend to wear from time to time, especially around significant others. Your goal is to accomplish something for you, Virgo; if you can combine efforts with like-minded folks (a real possibility), then go ahead and forge alliances. But if you feel you need to go it alone, don’t doubt your authenticity or hesitate to sever a tie. Whatever you decide, a genuinely soulful merger is in the works.

As your confidence soars, others will become more focused on what it is you have to offer. Communication of all kinds continues to play a significant role when sharing ideas, and with a more mindful and serious tone, you’ll possess the power to convince anyone of just about anything! That is, of course, if you’re not afraid of expressing your real thoughts and opinions. I wouldn’t be surprised if you find excuses to bite your tongue, which I highly recommend you guard against. If you want to make an impression, you’ll have to speak up, show up, and let go of worry (easier said than done, I know!). This approach could bringlasting gains, especially during the first half of the year.

As 2014 draws to a close, you will begin to embody your Tarot card archetype – the Hermit. This is all part and parcel to the Universe’s plan; some serious down time and rest as your labors begin to bear fruit will be necessary. Take this as an opportunity, then, to reflect on your future given the foundations you’ve successfully set in stone. Life will take off with a click and a bang in 2015, all the more reason for you to fully consider what’s next!

Happy New Year, Virgo!
