Gemini in 2014

1/1/2014

This year will be one in which you find yourself, Gemini. You’ll discover what brings you joy, how you can be more creative, and what makes you genuinely authentic. Romantic partners may very well paint a rosy picture, and recreational pursuits are favored. But at the end of the day, tapping into your inner child will be required, which means taking the time to nurture the ways in which you are unique and separate from the rest of the world.

How to make your personal mark will be something you ponder at various junctures over the next 12 months. Embarking on a pet project could be one avenue of exploration, while deciding to start a family could be another. While yours may be a sign that prefersintellectual engagement, a curious intellect won’t satiate a growing desire for profound meaning and connection, especially when it comes to intimacy with others (a theme that will be more poignantly highlighted during the first few months of the year). These things coincide with changes surrounding the different groups and associations with which you are currently aligned. Whether or not they cater to this new and wondrous you is a question that will continue to pop up, as you seek those of like-mind who can help you along this journey of self discovery. You may feel the need to sever a few ties if you find an association is no longer worthy of your time and investment. In fact, who andwhat you value will be the primary reasons why certain networks fall by the wayside.

You’re on a mission towards self fulfillment, so anything casual no longer holds interest. Even material wealth loses its appeal, although you still stand to accumulate more of it in the first half of the New Year. Actually, how you manage a life of comfort and security is reflective of how you manage your daily affairs. Are you doing too much? Do your current routines and habits suit your lifestyle (or the one you’re trying to create)? Have you over committed to certain members of your tribe (a trend to watch for in the second half of the year)? How you juggle it all is something that needs to be seriously considered; a firmer grasp of your responsibilities in a way that enhances your general well being not diminishes it, is ultimately the lesson to be learned.

If you’re honest with yourself, you’d have to admit that you’ve never really thought about life in the context of what it means to you, but instead, what you can learn from it. While both perspectives go hand and hand, your default has always been to absorb new knowledge and pieces of information. Unfortunately, what you know and retain doesn’t matter much if you’re not actively applying it to your personal reality. So you can be certain that 2014 will be a transitional year where you begin to create a life of purpose in a manner that benefits who you are on a core level. The version of you that fails to go beneath the surface where there’s depth and sustenance will no longer do. We’re all waiting on the edge of our seats to see the real you.

Happy New Year, Gemini!
