Aquarius in 2023

1/1/2023

A gradual build-up of energy begins right at the start of the year as the planet Mars stations direct in the sign of Gemini on January 13, where it has been retrograde since October 2022.

All the planets in our solar system do what’s called, “retrograde,” with Mercury being the planet that retrogrades most frequently throughout the calendar year. A retrograde planet gives the optical illusion of orbiting the almighty Sun backwards, which can be symbolized as a nudge from the Universe to pause and reroute where necessary, based on where the planet is affecting us in our natal charts.

Now, Mars in Astrology connects us to how we initiate our deepest passions. But while retrograde, assertive efforts feel blocked. Such blocks and thwarted motivation can be frustrating for us down below. So, as the Warrior planet gets back to its regular pace and orbit, you can anticipate that the affairs of life will amplify, a momentum that continues through the spring and summer seasons.

Fun, romance, children and child’s play will inspire authentic living at the start of the year, Aquarius. A paused love affair or creative project on hold can move forward with excitement. This will be important having taken some time to contemplate affairs of the heart. Where you’ve been uncertain, clarity will be restored; Mercury will also station direct in the sign of Capricorn on January 19, where it’s been retrograde since December 2022 bringing self-inquiry and retrospection.

In fact, inner dialogues and reflection will persist throughout the months of January and February as you prepare for your next solar return. If you’ve been working through difficulties with children or feeling a lack of love and affection, overall, the direct stations of Mercury and Mars may very well be connected.

This will, no doubt, lead to personal change and decisions that support self-growth. Interestingly, by the time we enter the spring months, your sense of identity and personal evolution will undergo major shifts as two momentous cosmic events develop above: Saturn will ingress (enter) the sign of Pisces on March 8, and Pluto will ingress your sign – the sign of the Water Bearer – on March 24.

Both these planetary shifts are set to bring important lessons to humanity below, especially in the way of social unrest, spiritual growth, and revolutionary coups. For you, a period of personal transformation will be underway as your ego self and conscious beliefs are restructured, if not dissolved and dismantled entirely. All that you thought you knew about your path in this incarnation will change, and so, too, will the values you once held. This will be an important 18-year period of growth – you won’t be the same, Aquarius.

Spring will be the time to direct your energy in assertive ways. You will be feeling quite motivated and inspired as Mars continues to move in forward motion encouraging you to reclaim all that makes you special and unique. Opportunities during this first quarter or 2023 may beg the need for you to get clear on your overall direction in life. This will be amplified on April 20 when a solar eclipse peaks, bringing new learning experiences and changes of scenery that both challenge and stimulate your mind.

However, Mercury will station retrograde again the day after the eclipse on April 21, instigating challenges on the home and family fronts. If settling into new domestic environments or navigating misunderstandings with family and loved ones – it will feel like you’re taking two steps forward and two steps back. These things will resolve when the Messenger planet stations direct on May 15, and most likely in your favor.

The lunar eclipse peaks on May 5, meanwhile, wrapping up activities on the career front. If leaving your job to pursue a new career field that aligns with growing interests, or launching a small local business, the end of professional chapters will further contribute to new vistas and ventures that allow for your creative genius to be better utilized. Of course, with Mercury retrograde, there will still be delays. But as Jupiter shifts into the sign of Taurus on May 17, you may be making the necessary adjustments as it relates to domestic changes, property matters, and emotional ties.

A surge of energy continues as we reach the summer solstice in the meantime. This year is fast and furious, Aquarius! Daily affairs, relationship matters, and new commitments will amplify!

That said, the close of July sees Venus stationing retrograde on the 23rd bringing an assessment to important relationships. You may be reconsidering a romantic connection or re-evaluating a business partnership. These are just a few examples of how Venus – the planet that connects us to love, beauty, money, and personal aesthetics – will be of impact while retrograde.

This gets a little dicey as Mercury stations retrograde once more just a month later on August 24. At this point of the year, intimate matters feature, whether merging in a joint entrepreneurial endeavor or financial investment. You may be unmooring yourself from a marriage or divesting from a real estate venture, and delays in these areas are likely courtesy of Venus and Mercury retrograde.

Such matters will resolve in September when Venus stations direct on the 4th and Mercury stations direct on the 16th. Agreements with important others will soon be finalized. Business ventures can now move forward. What may feel like a suspenseful holding pattern finally lifts!

October brings the last two eclipses of the year, meanwhile. A solar event on the 14th inspires new aspirational goals, travel, and broader aims, while the lunar eclipse on the 28th wraps up ongoing affairs on the home and family fronts; FYI, these eclipses are connected to the spring pair of eclipses. You may be leaving a familiar setting to venture abroad or moving onto a university campus. This could also be interpreted as a “home-grown” business that brings success.

Much of 2023 sees you planting seeds and rooting yourself to what and who gives you a sense of security, Aquarius. This will be especially important as you undergo a period of transformation; if your relationships, job, and domestic setting feel unsteady, you’ll have to anchor yourself, somewhere. This may require difficult conversations with loved ones, or a total new start. Ultimately, peace of mind and emotional wellness should be your end goals.

As we close out the year, the pace of life will pick up! Career matters will take on greater focus, as well as social engagements and networking. You may be attending conferences, planning events, or spending time with friends for the holiday season. November through December brings much interaction with professional colleagues and personal associates.

That said, Mercury retrogrades one last time on December 13, which could lead to missed connections, postponed holiday events, and glitches around conference planning. This won’t be good or bad, but may be a little frustrating.

There’s no need to worry, however; matters on the networking front will resolve in the new year. Aside from Mercury’s end-of-year backspin, 2023 ends on a rather aspirational note!

Aquarius in 2022

1/1/2022

The year begins on a reflective note for you, dear Aquarius. But if we’re being honest, you’ve been engrossed in a decade-long exercise of self-inquiry for the purpose of greater self-awareness. A subtle transformation within has been in effect, and soon, very soon, an outer transformation will commence. But for now, there remains a few remnants of old versions of you deep within your subconscious that need discarding and/or restructuring.

Inner fears, self-questioning, outdated narratives, and hidden beliefs are under examination at the start of the year, courtesy of Venus retrograde, and this excavating process will amplify when Mercury stations retrograde around mid-January.

Consider this a “spa” treatment for your subconscious mind. As you slow down and allow new insights to come forth, you will be in a place of “calm” to download perspectives and clarity that enhance the recesses of your mind.

This could also be viewed as a kind of “decluttering,” if you will – you’re purging and cleaning out what is toxic and impure when it comes to your inner self. The best way to do this, Aquarius, will be to rest, get lost in solitude, and even attend to your spiritual practices. Give yourself permission to lie low.

Once Venus and Mercury station direct during your birthday season in February, you will gradually begin to feel a surge of energy that builds into the spring months. Not only will clarity be restored, but you will be focused on your values and how to accumulate more wealth (however you define it). In fact, with Jupiter making its way through the sign of Pisces most of the year, you may very well come into opportunities to expand your wealth. More money, possessions, and even greater self-esteem are highlighted – just be mindful of spending.

As the pace of life picks up in April and May, you may find that short trips, learning endeavors, and communications pick up, too. Whether you find yourself in a classroom setting, or participating in an online seminar, your mind looks to be highly stimulated.

Home and family matters will build with momentum as well, along with fun, child’s play, romance, and recreation (which will stay active for the remainder of 2022). The spring season looks to be full – you could meet someone new, move in with a domestic partner, or welcome a new addition to your family (furry or human). What’s more, all this energy coincides with a pair of eclipses.

We usually get two pairs of eclipses every year that come during the winter or spring months, and then again during the summer or fall months. Eclipses come in pairs – a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse – and serve as bookends to new chapters. The first eclipse of the season will be solar event on April 30th bringing new chapters on the domestic front. A lunar eclipse follows on May 16th bringing conclusions on the career front.

FYI, these eclipses connect to cosmic turning points early in the year that center your work, your legacy, your foundations, and your relationships to kith/kin. You are being pulled to focus your energy on securing your roots – both your inner home and your outer home – so that you have an anchor for grounding as you pursue outward aims. These themes are highlighted all year long, triggered by the eclipses. Be on the lookout for sudden developments around the solar eclipses in April.

Mercury, meanwhile, will station retrograde again in between the spring eclipses bringing delays around new starts. If you are moving in with a romantic partner or doing creative projects around the house, there could be a few glitches. None of this is good or bad, but what unfolds may prove frustrating. So, be patient. Momentum comes by mid-June.

In fact, life reaches a period of calm, overall, entering the month of June. Learning, short trips, and activities of the mind will amplify as Jupiter makes its way to the sign of Aries for a short mid-year stint. You may be launching an online platform, relocating to a new environment, or writing that manuscript! Home, family, romance, and recreation remain focuses, too.

By summer, busy days feature. Your schedule will fill with family engagements, artistic endeavors and collaborations, doctor appointments, work assignments, extracurricular activities, and all the above! Busy days aren’t good or bad, just busy. Be careful not to spread your energy too thin or put too much on your plate.

Relationship matters feature, meanwhile, along with increased commitments, investments, and new agreements. Whether merging in a love union or forging a business partnership, there will be a lot of energy building in these areas mid-summer through the fall months. This will be important, Aquarius; another Mercury retrograde begins around the second week of September, bringing delays.

If negotiating a contract or looking to pool your resources for a major trip abroad with a loved one, there may be some stalls or travel restrictions. Again, patience will be necessary. Mercury stations direct in October bringing resolutions and forward movement.

The rest of September into October sees wanderlust in effect. You may develop a strong need to travel, to get out of dodge and indulge new experiences. That said, career matters feature mid-October entering the month of November, so if you can get away, do it sooner rather than later; professional momentum builds.

October also sees us entering another choppy cosmic period, Aquarius. For starters, a new pair of eclipses peak on October 25th and November 8th ushering in new chapters at home as well as shifts/conclusions on the career front. Remember that career matters are budding late fall into winter. The solar event could support advancement, but adjustments must be made when it comes to domestic responsibilities.

October also brings the station of Mars retrograde, a finale event for 2022! Of all the planets, Mars can be the hardest one to navigate while retrograde. Its energy connects us to our force of will, so when it does a backward spin around the almighty Sun, our energy feels blocked.

Mars will retrograde in the sign of Gemini, which could feel somewhat “manic.” For you, dear Aquarius, this retrograde will impact fun, child’s play, recreation, and romance.

Remember, activity has been building here since the end of April. You may be giving birth to a creative project that has a lot of moving parts or connecting with several romantic suitors at once. Children and pets feature, too, especially if becoming a new parent or working with youth.

The energy afoot at this time may become unwieldy, so give yourself permission to bob and weave and redirect where necessary. You may have to drop some of the moving parts to turn your attention elsewhere, especially if welcoming a new baby to your home or navigating life changing events with a romantic partner.

Mars retrograde brings an end-of-year cliffhanger and will not station direct until January 2023. But as my dad says, “Life has this funny way of continuing;” career matters remain amplified throughout November, while networking builds entering the holiday season.

Good cheer and laughter may be what colors the close of 2022, regardless of retrograde planets! You can enjoy time with loved ones and join in with others in different group activities, Aquarius. A quiet New Year’s Eve and Day, meanwhile, will prepare you for a new personal cycle in 2023; remember the importance of inner reflection and contemplation.

Also keep in mind that you must nurture your emotional home and body when all is said and done. Be sure to take care of yourself as we close out the year. Water the ground beneath your feet and stay close to the people who matter.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, AQUARIUS!

Aquarius in 2021

1/1/2021

2020 was hard. Periodt. Full stop. 2021 will energetically feel lighter, and for you, Aquarius, this looks to be another pivotal year.

That “Great Conjunction” that was trending toward the end of 2020 revealing the “Christmas Star” in the sky happened in your sign. All eyes were on the energy of Aquarius, an energy that is innovative, technologically savvy, rebellious, philanthropic, unconventional, out of this world, concerned with the larger collective and inspires the wizard in us all. That’s a lot of pressure, dear Water Bearer, and in 2021, the pressure is on.

You’re being called to level-up this year. Everything from the path that you’re on to the life that you live will undergo a revamp. This will be challenging, and, you will be motivated. You’re about to expand in ways you never would have anticipated, and in order to get there, you must put forth the effort, overcome fears and doubts, stay focused and disciplined.

At the start of the year, you may feel all abuzz to set certain life changes in motion. You’ll have a ton of cosmic support, too, especially in February when almost every planet (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn) will be hanging out in your constellation. No doubt, this may feel overwhelming, and with Mercury retrograde, there may be delays and setbacks around personal plans and independent ventures.

But you’ll still be motivated, even if it means putting forth a herculean effort. Be patient, then, if it feels like you’ve got to hurry up and wait – momentum comes in March.

The spring, meanwhile, sees activity moving in other life areas; namely learning and education, home and family, and creative aims. In fact, a theme in effect all year may bring domestic change around the house as well as with relatives. As you seek greater autonomy to plant roots and nurture yourself, there may be a few adjustments required.

Late spring, meanwhile, sees us entering an eclipse season. May 26th and June 10th brings a lunar and solar event that will impact you around romance, children, creative aims and community. You may be leaving a work environment to go on maternity leave. Same is true if a friendship becomes more than just platonic.

That said, another round of delays may impact romance, children and creative aims. There may be setbacks with an artistic launch or misunderstandings with a romantic partner. Keep in mind that the solar eclipse will bring a new beginning to these areas, no matter the delays. July sees progress.

Summer centers busy days, relationships and new commitments. If you’ve just welcomed a new member to your family, you may be focused on their livelihood. Same is true if you’re moving in with a relationship partner or find yourself wrapped up in more intimate dealings. These short few months will be relatively chill, so give yourself permission to indulge pleasure as best you can.

Fall is also relatively chill with the exception of another round of delays centering higher aims. If you are going back to school late September, taking a certification or traveling overseas (COVID-19 travel restrictions, pending), you can anticipate glitches to your plans. Travel documents may go missing, for example. An exam date may need to be pushed back. Again, nothing you can’t handle. November will bring resolutions as needed.

November also sees us entering another eclipse season with a lunar eclipse and solar eclipse peaking on November 19th and December 4th, respectively. These will impact you on the domestic front, Aquarius, especially if you’re relocating for work in a new organization, or find yourself entering a new tribe and community of like minds different from those you’ve grown familiar with. Whomever you meet and where you find yourself aligned will bring supportive benefits to you in the new year.

The end of 201 sees a quieter phase in effect after some heavy networking and social engagements during the holiday season. You will turn more inward for self-inquiry and an assessment of inner workings. In fact, you may be contemplating a major personal change to initiate in 2022. Same is true as money matters take on greater emphasis; a new theme set to unfold in December might encourage you to consider your values and relationship with the material world, as well as who/what are worthy investments.

This will be an internal exercise that won’t bring clarity until early next year. But whatever insights are brought to light will aid in the cultivation of greater self-esteem, financial stability and opportunities to acquire more wealth and abundance.

Of course, this begs the need to know yourself as deserving of all that you desire, and to take advantage of opportunities for self-growth this year. You’re more ready than you think.

Happy New Year, Aquarius!

Aquarius in 2020

1/1/2020

This will be an important year, Aquarius. A year that sees you stepping into yourself more fully and empowered. A year that sees you applying all that you have learned after an intense look at your inner self. A year that insists you are ready to set new personal plans in motion.

So much has been happening for you behind the scenes, dear Water Bearer. An internal excavation has been in effect for a long time, forcing you to come to know with greater intimacy the hidden dynamics of your subconscious self that lead you to self-sabotage. You have wrestled with every fear, doubt and insecurity, and won each battle. Now, a soothing balm is set to bring healing, enlightenment and greater inner awareness that leads to better conscious decision making.

You will feel this soothing influence right at the start of the year. A solar eclipse that peaked toward the end of 2019 is conjuring fresh new insights and nuggets of wisdom that will encourage change in 2020. In fact, such change may be connected to what develops during the lunar eclipse on January 10th. A shift or ending is coming with regards to some aspect of daily living.

Whether you are leaving a job, completing a project or ending a routine and structure of life that no longer serves you (like a fitness regimen), something will finish. Whatever that is will be the result of new realizations flooding your conscious mind.

As you begin to set change in motion, your mind will turn toward money. You may be attempting to secure funding and resources that will support personal plans and projects. With that said, there may be delays on the money front toward the end of winter. A check may be slow to process while important purchases are reconsidered. This could also involve back and forth around financial contracts and agreements.

Try not to make any major money decisions if you can hold off. The spring months bring resolution as you begin to shift your focus toward education, learning, home and family events. In fact, new learning endeavors may be revisited during the fall months, while abrupt changes on the domestic front are likely throughout the entire year. Beware of fluctuating activity in these areas.

It’s business as usual during the spring, but pressure will build when it comes to self-assertion and discipline. Remember, Aquarius, you are ready to set in motion your plans for the future; do not be fooled into thinking you need more time. 2020 is a staging year. By 2021, you will be pressured to either “shit, or get off the pot.”

As we close out the spring season, cosmic storms feature. This begins with an extended review or assessment of a child, creative venture or romantic prospect. You may be considering family planning or a love interest, and summer eclipses beg the need for further considerations.

June 5th and July 5th bring completions involving an association. You may be leaving behind a group or a company to launch an artistic venture. A platonic friendship may turn romantic. Furthermore, there may be a lot of anxiety around whatever culminates.

Meanwhile, a potent summer solstice solar eclipse will be nestled between the lunar eclipses on June 21st, bringing a new start to some element of daily life. A new job or regular project is set to begin as you leave behind a network or integrate an artistic or romantic interest into your daily life. This may be unsettling at first; there will be a few delays and setbacks when it comes to new routines. Adjustments will be necessary, and these three summer eclipses will add to the cosmic whirlwind.

Mid-July into August is when the dust clears, and solid plans can begin to move forward. Romantic considerations are resolved while new projects and responsibilities are underway. You get a brief reprieve from all the anticipation and uncertainty. But the fall months come with a new round of turbulent cosmic weather.

September through November sees obstacles developing in the areas of communication, learning and your immediate surroundings. This could manifest as delays around to your enrollment in an education program, or setbacks involving the launch of a communication platform and technological innovation. FYI, this will feel frustrating. You may find it hard to assert yourself and obstacles will most likely be a result of circumstances beyond your control.

Blocks will be further compounded in October, as opportunities and career advancement also undergo delays. Obstacles that began in September may cause new challenges in October, making this the most difficult month of your year ahead.

If you are applying for a certification that could further you along on the career front, application documents may go missing. There may be misunderstandings around higher aims that involve travel and academic pursuits, which prolong your participation in a specialized training program that would bring professional advancement.

As such delays unfold, your only options will be to either wait until obstacles lift or find a working solution in the interim. To push or force your will prove futile, and you will only feel even more frustrated. Be mindful, too, of your temper during this time. Tense communications are likely, as well as aggression from others. Challenges will lift by the midway point of November as we enter another eclipse season.

November 30th brings a lunar eclipse completing activities involving a romantic partner, child or creative venture. What ends here is connected to what was under an evaluation back in May and June. The solar eclipse on December 14th, meanwhile, brings a new start in an important network and/or company. You are aligning yourself with a new affiliation, whether returning to work after maternity leave or focused on a passion venture that is entrepreneurial in make-up.

After a period of significant obstacles during the fall, momentum gradually returns around education endeavors, vocational training and all things that see you broadening yourself while gaining new experiences. This may lead to important career developments, Aquarius. You will have essentially been rerouted on a new path that is more suitable.

The twists and turns of 2020 will set you straight on your journey toward self-growth and self-actualizing. Remember, 2021 involves more discipline and focus around personal aims, but a new influence in effect by December will give you wings and reward.

Happy New Year, Aquarius!

Aquarius in 2019

1/1/2019

This has been a year of “adulting” for us all. 2018 was dense, filled with obstacles that insisted we work, overcome, and work some more. Hopefully, you have been able to navigate these obstacles with perseverance, especially as cosmic activity above works to uproot and transform subconscious insecurities that dwell at the core of you.

Over the years, you have endured an intense excavation from within, to gain better insights of your internal workings. No doubt, depression, anxiety, and unconscious blocks have been discovered along the way, as you cultivate the tools and resources needed to help you get a grip on inner maladies, e.g., blind spots that lead to self-sabotage.

A solar eclipse at the beginning of the year on January 5th will further your efforts, bringing new awareness that encourages internal growth. Meanwhile, the lunar eclipse two weeks later on January 21st marks an important shift on the relationship front; what comes to light at the solar eclipse may alter the way you connect with others.

Eclipse energy will carry you into the spring, as themes around inner restructuring continue. This may change personal perspectives, primarily with regards to money, home, and family. March through May sees activity focused on financial affairs and domestic events. Whether you are family planning, or renovating your home, you can expect sudden developments.

In fact, delays around money will occur in March. Financial negotiations, significant purchases, and income uncertainty could prove challenging. Avoid major money decisions; delays resolve by April.

Back on the domestic front, increased activity will keep you busy. Relocation is possible; you may even be entertaining guests as we enter the summer months. Planting seeds and securing your foundations will be highlighted. Sturdier roots will be your ultimate aim, whether starting a family, mending strained relations, or creating a feeling of sanctuary in your physical space.

Two more eclipses are scheduled to peak as we enter the summer. A solar eclipse on July 2nd brings a new start to daily affairs, while a lunar eclipse on July 16th brings a culmination of activity behind the scenes. The first eclipse sees an enhancement of regular routines. Whether you are beginning a work assignment or fitness regimen, expect additional responsibilities. The following eclipse will prepare you for this new start. Fears that hinder initiative will be purged for the sake of new beginnings.

Of course, there may be another round of setbacks mid-July through August. Disruptions to your schedule, missed appointments, as well as misdiagnoses on the health front may delay the new start expected, courtesy of the solar eclipse. It is equally possible that significant others interrupt progress around certain projects. These matters will resolve by September. Bide your time and be patient.

Fall through the end of 2019 brings a cosmic uptick. The pace of life will quicken as concentrated energy focuses on significant others and new commitments. Partnership agreements, marital ties, as well as business investments feature. The month of November may bring stalled negotiations around a promotion or career mergers, but talks will begin to move forward by December.

The year ends the way it began, with a solar eclipse on December 26th, and a planetary shift, both focused on your subconscious self. What unfolds will feel lighter as we enter 2020. Inner work yields outer confidence. As stated above, 2019 is still a year of adulting. Only this time without resistance.

Happy New Year, Aquarius!

Aquarius in 2018

The year ahead sees you solidifying who you are within, and how that translates in to the reality of your outer world. For years, you have been in a subtle but significant fog that has transformed you from the inside out. You may not be aware of all the excavating happening beneath the surface of you. But if you feel more attuned, then it is a telltale sign that subconscious fears and doubts have been discovered and purged. Now, you can begin to cultivate the discipline required to fully understand your internal workings. Whether this involves yoga, meditation, spiritual practices, or developing a greater faith in self, you are being challenged to become more enlightened.

The year begins with you in a low cycle. You may be feeling more tired than usual, especially after a hectic and social holiday season. Give yourself time for rest; as we enter eclipse season in February, you will start to feel more energized. This game-changing month offers a personal fresh start. But for this to occur, you must be prepared to leave behind what (or more specifically who) holds you back. Relationship matters are highlighted with anyone you would consider a significant other – spouse, close friend, business partner, etc. This could be a make or break moment in relationships.

Meanwhile, the freshness of spring comes with fresh energy in learning and education. Short trips are highlighted, along with writing, speaking, and teaching engagements – anything that brings mental stimulation features. FYI, there may be some minor setbacks in these areas. An email may get stuck in your outbox, or your car breaks down while on route to visit an extended relative. These glitches will be resolved by the end of April, so bide your time.

The month of May brings yet another shift – a new seven-year cycle that will shake up your home and family. Relocation is possible, along with changes in your community and neighborhood. This is a wonderful influence that will encourage you to break new ground and cultivate sturdier foundations that support your emotional health and well-being.

The summer of 2018 is when we all encounter choppy energy. Three eclipses (two on the Leo-Aquarius axis) bring significant activity, and the momentum builds as early as summer solstice. You will be asserting your own personal agenda, especially when it comes to navigating family changes. Mid-June through August brings severe obstacles, and as we move into July, a hard “no” or “stop” will lead you to reconsider your plans.

New developments involving your health could force you to regroup. It is also possible that new beginnings in your daily life (pregnancy, career change, etc.) thwart your efforts. Reinforcement will come courtesy of loved ones, as delays lead to a new beginning with significant others. There may be some back and forth around how important connections feature. But you will know where you stand by September.

Fall is more calm as you shift your attention to work matters. In fact, career expansion is a theme all year, with opportunities for growth. A review will be in effect starting mid-October through November. Whether you are interviewing for a new position, seeking a promotion, or working on an important project, you will be up for consideration. Career questions will resolve by December.

Aquarius in 2017

2017 will be a year of change, Aquarius. You got a taste of this during the summer months of 2016, which should have prepared you for what is in store. Of course, you only stand to benefit, which will require some level of openness and flexibility on your part. You may be one of the most laid back signs of the Zodiac, but you can be as stubborn as Taurus the Bull. This is not the time to dig in your heels – 2017 is a year of “adulting.”

The year begins with you deep in contemplation about your life’s direction. You may be considering an important decision, or simply reflecting on events that occurred in 2016 as you prepare for events in 2017. Revisiting old groups, networks, and associates could help you in this deep process of consideration. But don’t expect any semblance of clarity until the end of the month, especially if the friends you would normally call on for brainstorming are still recovering from the holidays. Try to sit with your questions for now.

Meanwhile, February will be a game-changing month as eclipses bring an important shift. Relationship activity will culminate; you can expect an important connection to move to a new level of commitment, or the dissolving of an important tie (be it personal or professional). This marks the beginning of an unfolding process, which will bring greater awareness how you are invested in partnerships of all kinds, be it financially or emotionally. Everything from self-sabotaging to the internal fears you harbor around love, will bubble to the surface, and influence how you show up in significant connections. August eclipses will re-emphasize this unlearning, encouraging you to be more self-sacrificing for important partners.

March and April will prove to be the most stimulating months of the year. You may be involved in a new training program, taking short trips, exploring different communities, or engaged in greater communicative ventures – writing, public speaking, etc. However, these things seem to be up for review – you will not be able to push forth on your agenda. A class in which you wish to enroll, for example, might be postponed. The house that you wanted to purchase in that swanky new neighborhood may suddenly go off the market. Misunderstandings are equally possible, along with disruptions to the staples of your daily life (mechanical malfunctions with your vehicle, cell phone static, etc.). Hold off on making any big decisions at this time, as delays and a lack of information could bring obstacles. Also, keep in mind that none of this is good or bad, Aquarius – just annoying. These activities will start to gain traction in May and June.

Career matters will come into sharper focus around October. The past few years may have brought many challenges and limitations around professional goals. But starting now through 2018, rewards for your efforts will be forthcoming. Expansion and opportunities are set to come your way, broadening your sense of purpose and vocation.

The end of the year marks an important turning point that will bring you full circle when it comes to the hidden elements of who you are on the inside, Aquarius. Lessons around self-trust and the nurturing of your intuition, will lead to greater confidence when making those important life decisions.

Aquarius in 2016

1/3/2016

If 2015 taught you anything, Aquarius, it was that work and professional endeavors should not be stressful to the point of inhibiting your joie de vivre. You have been learning important lessons that speak to your status in life, and how to be your own personal authority when it comes to the work that you do – your vocation of choice. Many of you have left longstanding careers, or will in the near future. It is equally possible that many of you have completely revamped your career in a way that suits you and gives a sense of purpose. You should be proud of your accomplishments. It is as if you have moved through a significant rite of passage.

The year beings with work matters taking up much of your time, and the experience may bring up remnants of lessons you have been learning since 2012. If you need to take a time out for self-reflection and inquiry, especially as it pertains to conscious decisions surrounding a career change, take all the time you need. But wait until February before you decide to act. For those of you on the fence, know that there is a wide network of support available to you if you are willing to put yourself out there and ask for help.

Eclipses in March will further motivate you to identify what you value in life, and whether or not you are living in accordance with your core truths and philosophies. Yours is a sign with strong convictions, but because you are tolerant of so many things, it can be difficult to separate your beliefs from the beliefs of others. Conclusions drawn this month will inspire you to live a life of more meaning and fulfillment. This could also translate into new vocational pursuits.

Meanwhile, May will shift your attention to domestic matters. Relocation, activity with family, or discussions surrounding home renovations will increase; you would be wise to hold off until June before making any major decisions in these areas. In fact, April through June will most certainly be the most difficult months of 2016. For you in particular, this stems around networking, group activities, friendships, and lifelong goals. As previously stated, you have enough folks on your team who can be of influence with your hopes for the future. But they may be hard to find during these three months, and progress will be delayed. This might require you to go back to the drawing board and re-examine what your priorities are, and where you should invest your time, love, and money. If you can find a happy medium, a cherished dream could be realized sooner than you think. Look for June to bring an important turning point.

Eclipses in August and September will also contribute to the personal transition you are currently undergoing. Change will be necessary in order for you to take advantage of what’s in store with regards to travel, higher learning, and a broader world-view that will cement your own existential beliefs. Life is about to take you places you have never been, Aquarius! I hope that you are ready. The butterfly should be your animal totem in 2016.

Happy New Year, Aquarius!

Aquarius in 2015

What you value, Aquarius, and all that is important to you have been up for review for quite some time. You have had to move through the pain of feeling less than or not enough, in order to reshuffle your priorities and focus on what gives you a sense of personal security. This could be from a financial standpoint or an emotional one, and it especially holds true with regards to your career. You’re finally coming off a cycle of discipline and limitations, work-wise. By spring, you will start to get clear on what you consider to be of worth, building a life of comfort that provides plenty of sustenance.

The New Year begins with the planets Mars and Venus in your sign, bringing enough stamina and charm as you set off in pursuit of your goals. Don’t be surprised, however, if you come up against a few obstacles in mid-January through mid-February. Mercury’s first retrograde of 2015 will also be in your sign, which means a little self-reflection may be necessary to ensure that any future steps taken towards your personal development are the right ones. March is when it all clicks. But you may contend with some conflict as inner demons continue to infringe upon an intense desire to learn new skills and become a bonafide expert on something. Your progress depends on your ability to adapt, which is difficult for a sign that prides itself on innovation and ideas. Try not to be so quick to criticize your genius, and let go of all those false truths that hold you back!

Meanwhile, May and June sees you more creative and flirty. You’ll be in your element, and a new romantic prospect is very possible! FYI, a connection made during this time might not be “The One.” But a new or current association could become more serious by the end of the year and into 2016. Healthy relationships with others can lead to a healthier view of you, while partnerships in general continue to grow and expand. You only stand to benefit from those who bring positive energy to your life, and it will be imperative that you align yourself with only the right kind of folks as you begin to manifest your dreams for the future. You need only link up with like-minded people who will offer you full commitment and support. This, in 2015, will be essential; flakey characters should not be given the time of day.

If you do meet a significant other this year, try and hold off on cementing any bond or agreement during the summer months. Indecision on their part is possible. Partnerships of all kinds will begin to deepen starting in August into 2016, which is why you can afford to be more discriminating when it comes to where and with whom you choose to invest your time, love and energy. September could bring a delightful new acquaintance, and you might just be able to persuade them to join forces with you, whether for business or pleasure. Just do your research and make sure that said person is able to meet you where you are along your evolutionary path. You’ve got a rather profound year ahead, dear Water Bearer. Don’t waste a minute!

Happy New Year, Aquarius!

Aquarius in 2014

The start of the year sees you in more of a reflective mood, dear Aquarius. You’re processing events that not only unfolded in 2013, but prior to, in an attempt to apply all lessons learned towards the rest of your life. That’s a pretty ambitious New Year’s resolution! Thankfully, inspiration keeps you motivated to make significant changes surrounding your core principles.

Career matters are where you were tested the most in 2013 – from how you interact with colleagues to how you push forth with professional endeavors. Authority figures may have made your life very difficult, although it might be more accurate to say that you, considering you are your own personal authority, doubted yourself, skills and talents. Nevertheless, you were given additional responsibilities on the work front, which interestingly enough forced you to learn how to better manage your daily affairs. If you found yourself working longer hours, it coincided with the need for more rest and revised fitness routines. If you started your own business, it coincided with the need to be more creative with scheduling your day-to-day in order to be more efficient and productive. Let’s not forget how home and family added to the challenges of last year. Many of you welcomed a new addition while others moved to a new locale. It's safe to say that juggling balls has become your newest trade Aquarius. But hopefully you realize it’s a process that will lead to moresolidified practices that bring an all-round life balance.

Meanwhile, despite your hard work and best efforts, finances continue to be a source of confusion. It’s as if one minute you have more money than what you thought you had, while in the next minute, it just as suddenly disappears! This will be an ongoing theme in 2014, with the lesson being to learn how toconserve funds. Stick to your budget (and if you don’t budget, add this to your list of New Year’s goals!), and start saving more than what you think is enough. You’re a bonafide collector who enjoys random finds. But unless you want to start auctioning off those rare and precious jewels, you’d be wise to allow another buyer to benefit.

The year ahead will be filled with much of the same, only this time, you’ll be much wiser. Between now and the mid-year mark, many of you will be moved to explore elements of life outside of the proverbial box. This will enhance an already growing awareness, and push you towards insightful leanings that further cement those evolving principles. Make sure you share any newfound knowledge too, and as a trade off, allow others to broaden your experience as well (you’d be surprised by what another’s influence has to teach you). Make it a point to enlighten anyone who comes across your path with your dreams and thoughts for the future. There maybe someone listening who can help bring it all to fruition.

Happy New Year, Aquarius!
