I’ve recently become certified as a Spiritual Life Coach (hooray!), and I’ve decided that the first “disclaimer” I am going to issue during a client’s Intake is this: I cannot be held responsible if you feel you are not making progress in life. The fact is there’s only so much I can do to help, anyway. I’ve been taught the proper skills, I’m beyond passionate about empowering others, and I recognize that when you win, we all win – I’ve got nothing to lose! So if you still feel stuck after a number of sessions with me and aren’t getting anywhere, I will let you know right now that it’s not me, it’s you.

Throughout my life I’ve been told that I am an old Soul. I believe this to be true, though it’s been difficult to reconcile at different stages of my youth. While I’ve always felt a grounded sense of reality and responsibility, I have equally felt inhibited, wishing I could embrace a more childlike abandon. This explains why in the past I’ve played the parental figure in most of my relationships, or why I enjoy shooting the shit with the elderly patrons that frequent my neighborhood café. Overall I appreciate the gifts of foresight that come with being an old Soul, and the older I get, the easier it becomes to bridge the gap between it and my physical age. |
