The energy above has me fired up in ways that are so liberating, so exciting, and so unapologetic, that I cannot help but to embody and embrace this cosmic surge. I have become more vocal in opinion with family and friends, working harder these days to empower my clients to live fully empowered lives. I am no longer interested in towing the line – my choice is to live free. To suppress, deny, or reject what is innate within me – what is innate within each of us – would be a disservice to the essence of who I am. You do not need planning permission to build castles in the sky. It is your birth right to dream big, pursuing that which brings you happiness and content.

ToAClient: A friend is someone who would never lie to you, and would never allow you to lie to yourself.
Last week brought many challenges. As I reflect on everything that occurred, I can still feel the weight of it all. I spent much of my time holding tension – tension within, and feeling tension in others. It was so dense that I literally had to leave town – LEAVE TOWN – to disconnect and get grounded. As I took the long drive north, the density grew lighter and lighter. I began to feel less heavy, which was great, but now a lingering question persists in my heart: when is it OK to expect more from others – to expect more from life? “For what shall it profit a man or a woman, to gain the whole world and lose their own Soul?” Mark 8:36
A friend introduced me to the acronym “JOMO,” which stands for “joy of missing out.” It is the antithesis to "FOMO," or, “fear of missing out.” FOMO can manifest in our lives as fear of missing out on some big event, or gossip, or whatever is happening down the street with the neighbors, not being included, or feeling isolated and out of the loop. Meanwhile, JOMO can manifest as the joy of not caring about any of these things, while leisurely indulging in solitude, and not needing to be the first to know everything. |
