We are currently watching this play out on a national level as stay-at-home orders are loosened and the country begins to open up the economy while battling COVID-19. So much damage and death has already occurred; federal, state and local governments must be cautious.
This is where Venus retrograde enters the mix asking us to (re)consider our options and priorities going forward, now that much of what we value in terms of personal and financial security (including the value of the U.S. dollar) has changed. This also includes an evaluation of those in charge, and if their priorities align with ours.
These retrogrades bring a brief reprieve and (re)considerations to our personal lives as well. The Capricorn area of your astrological birth chart is where rebuilding is underway, while the Gemini area of your chart is where there will be options to review.
Ultimately, this may feel like the settling into a new normal after the havoc wreaked throughout the pandemic, along with an assessment of what/who we still value and wish to invest in. It will be important for everybody to honestly engage this exercise.
The reason why we only get a brief reprieve is because eventually all planets will station direct. Venus will shift trajectory during a highly energetic eclipse season starting next month (more to come on that), while the outer planets wake up in September at a time when a second wave of the coronavirus is expected.
Enjoy this time while it lasts because things will get even more interesting during the fall season. The rest of 2020 will look like the first half of 2020. Forewarned is forearmed.
