Just as the Earth has two poles, the Moon has two nodes – a north node and a south node. The nodes work in tandem to keep us aligned with our truest quest in this incarnation. The north node represents where we’re going while the south node represents where we’ve been.
With the north node entering the sign of Taurus, we can expect a new focus and direction around Taurus themes: money, values, resources, wealth, safety and personal security. Not only will this affect us individually, but globally as well.
That said, shake-ups are likely as we pursue this new direction courtesy of the planet Uranus, also in the sign of Taurus. If we are to bring about change, the nodes will insist that we release our attachments to certain comforts. It is possible to do so deliberately, but an inflexible attitude will ensure a rather willful tug-of-war.
That’s why the Scorpio south node must be a part of this journey. The fears we encounter will come from a deep emotional place; experiences of abandonment, loss, poverty, and scarcity will be triggered. We will have to make ourselves vulnerable and release the need to control how change unfolds.
To move through this new cycle, an energetic balance of both nodes will be necessary. We can allow the lessons and experiences of our past inform how we create new values systems in the future that are of greater benefit and stimulate greater abundance for us all. World economies will be impacted, along with our own sense of stability right here in the U.S.
Of course, where this impacts you personally depends on where the Taurus/Scorpio axis falls in your astrological birth chart – an astrology reading can provide specific insights. Your horoscopes for the week ahead may offer some counsel in the meantime. Don’t forget to read the horoscope for your Ascendant sign, too.
