These words spoken by Anthony Bourdain may be difficult to swallow. It may not be easy to accept this as truth, humbling ourselves enough to let it fully sink in. These words are just another reminder of why Anthony Bourdain was once compared to an “open vein.” He was raw, pulsing with a passion and vulnerability not at all hidden or covered up. He very intentionally exposed what lied beneath the surface of certain pleasantries, be it decadent food, or in worldly pursuits. I was devastated by the news of his death. He will surely be missed.

Our way of life is currently on notice. Time to change, or be changed.”
If you feel like this year has been one of hard knocks, you would be correct. It will continue. I do not have words of encouragement to offer then, just real truth. Take it in. Absorb it. Let it settle. Sit with it. Accept it. Embrace it. Be humbled by it. Ride side by side with it until you are far off into a distant sunset that lights the way to a life filled with more meaning, more wisdom, and more enlightenment. You will be transformed.
