I was invited to participate in an IG live event with oneTILT last week, and the topic of discussion was, “Leading with Empathy.” At the end of our conversation, I was asked to share a piece of advice to those listening. My response:
“People are doing the best they can with what they have at any given moment. Their best may not always be good enough, and people must be held accountable when their best proves harmful and destructive. And still, it helps to assume that we are all doing the best we can with what we have at any given moment.”

Jupiter, the biggest planet in our Solar System, dips into the sign of Pisces for a hot minute this week, the sign where it is exalted. Jupiter brings abundance, purpose and meaning to our lives, while Pisces is spiritual, transcending, and has a close connection with the struggles of others.

With this upcoming transit, I think of our fellow brothers and sisters in Palestine and Columbia right now, whose human rights continue to be oppressed. I also think of our BIPOC siblings right here in the United States who continue to endure centuries-old injustice and discrimination.
Jupiter in Pisces uplifts and restores hope. As we continue to move toward the other side of the pandemic, may we place our hope in each other, in mankind, and in all that is holy and divine. Jupiter in Pisces offers us the chance to truly become the change we wish to see in the world.
