Feel It All

“What hurts you, blesses you. Darkness is your candle.” ~Rumi

“Jupiter in Scorpio will drudge up the muck that resides beneath the surface of who we are, and in a big way. Skeletons in closets will be revealed. Lies will be unearthed. Wounds will be triggered. This is a necessary process that Scorpio does well. What follows will be a grand release that helps us to heal and evolve.”

I wrote this almost a year ago. The week we just had is a testament to the above truth.
I have been overwhelmed by the past few emotionally charged days. Not only in my own personal life was I besieged by a whole spectrum of feelings, but I witnessed it firsthand with clients, as well as on a nationally live streamed program called #KavanaughHearings.

In fact, many of us have been besieged by emotions these past few days, and though it can be difficult to find perspective while submerged in an abyss of feeling depth and profound isolation, there is always hindsight. We inevitably buoy to the surface out of breath, and yet, still breathing.

Jupiter in astrology bestows us with blessings. Most astrologers, including myself, refer to Jupiter as the good luck charm in our birth charts. But there is a side to Jupiter that can be dangerous – overwhelming, overindulgent, overstimulated, a bit too much. This is especially the case while transiting a sign like Scorpio.

The function of Scorpio in Astrology is to transform; that is its primary task. Scorpio understands on a deep level what it means to surrender, labor through the pain, and exit the birth canal. One of my favorite essays that speaks to this is called, “Transformation: If You Are Enjoying It, You Are Doing It Wrong.” Scorpio means business. We are all being called to transform.

Next month, Jupiter will end its year-long transit of Scorpio and enter a new year-long transit in the sign of Sagittarius. On offer will be a more jovial access to abundance – it will feel less dense for sure. Until then, we must finish addressing those things that we would rather swim over. FYI, Venus is now transiting the sign of Scorpio as well, a transit that insists we continue this great excavation. Furthermore, what is revealed will only intensify once Venus stations retrograde by the end of the week; forearmed is forewarned.

Jupiter still has its good side, nevertheless, the side that bestows blessings. When we let go of the skeletons, lies, and wounds that keep us unevolved, the pain that follows will liberate us for good. It is a beautiful unraveling. I suggest you feel it all. Give yourself permission to lean into this energy. Be healed in it. Be free of it. Be transformed by it.
