I was giving an Astrology reading to a Leo Sun the other day, who shared with me her fear of becoming the shining star she was meant to be, because she didn’t want to seem vain or narcissistic while promoting her unique gifts and talents (vanity and narcissism represent the shadow side of Leo). Fast-forward to later that day; I was talking to a Scorpio Sun, who freely acknowledged the importance of having a healthy sense of entitlement (especially for young girls), and that it was OK to feel disappointment when your expectations fall short of extraordinary. I could relate to both sentiments. On the one hand we are taught to reach for the stars – the sky is the limit! On the other hand we must be mindful of greed, and not ask for too much. It can be tricky to find a middle ground that is humble, and too often we default to settling for less than abundance.
We’ve got a light week ahead as the planet Venus moves through the sign of Gemini, reminding us of all that is possible. We are being encouraged to explore what we value the most, and to do so with responsibility as Saturn’s transit through Sagittarius would suggest. As we indulge our curiosities, there must be intentions for all that is being considered. It is not enough to just be curious in other words. We have to be willing to completely step outside of the box and embrace all that could be in our lives. Now would be a good time, then, to revisit any New Year’s resolutions. Only this time with the understanding that what your spirit seeks is already yours, because you’re entitled to it. Check your horoscopes to see how astrological transits will affect your sign this coming week, and be sure to read for your Ascendant sign too.
