In Memoriam

On this day and all days, we each must soldier on in life and death for what is right and just and true. May it be so. In Memoriam ❤

On this Memorial Day, I remember the brave women and men who fought and died for our country;

I remember the brave women and men who fought and died for black liberation in our country, a struggle that continues;

I remember the brave women and men who fought and died for native lands, their descendants still protecting our water;

I remember the brave women and men who fought and died so that we might get the right to love whom we choose;

I remember the brave women and men (especially Ricky John Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche from the state of Oregon) who fought and died standing up to Islamophobia;

I remember the brave women and men who fought and died for Palestinian Human Rights, and I send prayers to those currently imprisoned, and on hunger strikes for the last 43 days;

I remember the brave women and men risking their lives to enter "the land of the free" to give their children a better life;

and I remember those fighting personal battles to simply stay alive and live a life well lived - all heroes in the eyes of God.
