I was sharing these aspects of myself with a client the other day, someone who is extremely smart, creative, and enlightened. She is determined to educate herself on ways to be more self-empowered, by staying abreast of the latest self-help tools, books, and exercises that stimulate growth and awakening. I admire her desire to learn. But I also worry that she is too focused on sating a hunger for knowledge, without pausing long enough to sit with, and internalize, all the new wisdom gleaned.
