There is a reason why self-motivational experts tell us to sit still and get quiet. Even the Bible verse, “peace be still,” is regularly quoted. It’s a known fact, too, that deep breaths are our body’s way of telling us that we’re OK – that everything is fine. These are all experiences that allow truth to be acknowledged and integrated.
The thing about “truth” is that it usually comes to us in a gentle way that is quiet, inviting, and matter of fact. We often fail to hear it, however, because our ego minds and debilitating fears can be loud and so convincing. But as sure as we know how anxiety feels, we know how truth feels, and most times, the hard part isn’t necessarily knowing the difference, but acting on what we know.
A New Moon peaks in the sign of Cancer at the end of this week reminding us to get back to the truth of our foundations, discerning between what depletes us of our well-being and what contributes to it. We are all being encouraged to prioritize self-nurture, to plant seeds, and to get rooted.
And so, I encourage you, dear Reader, to get still. Nourish yourself as needed in preparation for the Dark Moon. In doing so, the truth will gently enter your conscious mind, body and Soul, showing you an important path forward in case you’ve lost your way.
