I do believe the game-changing events that occurred in our personal lives during the summer months of 2016, were necessary to prepare us for more change on the horizon. A retrograde Mars in the sign of Scorpio, that did not station direct until June, insisted that we examine, expose, and then release those elements of ourselves that kept us in fear – elements that remained hidden beneath the surface. Meanwhile, a 90-degree angle formed between the planets Saturn and Neptune throughout the months of August and September, required many of us to navigate complex situations with uncertain outcomes, while remaining open to and trusting of the process. Then, of course, were the three eclipses that rocked our world, playing out over the span of just one month. Societal shifts that were pretty palpable occurred during this time, and are evident today.
Next is the New Moon in Sagittarius on Tuesday, November 29th. New moons occur every month when the Sun and Moon are aligned in the same sign at the same degree in the sky. During this phase, the moon is closest to the Sun, in the Sun’s shadow, and thus invisible to us down below. For a moment, darkness is consumed by light. Astrologers view New Moons as omens ripe with magic and concentrated energy, which can be used to plant new seeds and set new intentions that we wish to see manifest. In the sign of Sagittarius, a sign that chooses to step outside of its comfort zone in order to broaden its meaning of life, the New Moon is giving us all an opportunity to open up to what is possible, considering new ways to grow, stretch, and change. May your intentions be wise, heartfelt, and luck-filled, dear Friend. Under this cosmic climate, all you have to do is believe.
