Rest Up For Change

Catharsis. New insights. Enlightened awareness. Sudden realizations. Personal change. Decisions made. These are themes and topics that have dominated my conversations with clients over the past few weeks.
When COVID-19 first hit, I was extremely hesitant to talk about the opportunities that would soon be presented, and how this global pause would bring us to new levels of understanding about our lives and contributions to the world. People were (and still are) grieving the loss of life and life upended. It just wasn’t the right time then.

But now, so many of you are receiving this message. So many of you have arrived at a place of acceptance with where we are, and can finally hear the truth of what it all means for your own lives and our shared humanity on planet Earth.

Of course, such truth will be relative to each of us – my truth won’t be the same as your truth or the truth of the next person. But the Universal truth is clear: It is time. Rest up for change.

A client said to me last week that she’s been in a state of pause she didn’t know she needed.

Another client said that he had been on a journey toward greater self-autonomy, and COVID-19 pushed him further along the way.

A different client said, quote “I worked up the courage to ask for what I needed, got still, and now my prayers are being answered.” I’ve even had clients who have been furloughed and laid off see the blessings in disguise.

No matter where you are in your grief and beef with 2020, you’re learning and gaining something. We are all clarifying desires these days; maybe your values have been clarified after months at home and time spent with family. Maybe you decided to make career changes that better reflect your true vocation in life.

Maybe you’ve sobered up, or maybe you’ve admitted to having an unhealthy addiction. Maybe you’ve lost weight, or weight gain has alerted you to other health issues. Maybe you’re working toward becoming an anti-racist and change-agent.

It took a global pandemic to get us thinking about the state of affairs in our lives. No matter what is happening in your world, your world would not be undergoing this kind of existential pivot, arguably for the better, if it wasn’t for a global pandemic. Would you agree? And what do you think that says about the state of how we’ve been living?

The pace of life picks up this week as Venus gains traction in direct motion and Mercury follows suit. Mars is barreling through the sign of Aries as well, giving us wings. Now is the time to set change in motion and don’t bother looking back. This is where an old version of life ends, and a new one begins.

Check your horoscopes below to see what’s in store for this week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign too.

I really do appreciate your comments here about resting and preparing for the change that is coming. There are moments in our lives where we must rest in order to be sharp and alert for the challenges and changes that are ahead. We often are so overwhelmed with what we see that we fail to prepare ourselves mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually for what it takes to see it through. Running on fumes won’t do.

My Husband took a promotion that will require we move HOURS away from all my family and familiarity AND then
only had a month to accept this change. Annnd we will be living in different states away from each other 6 months to a year.. We've only been married 3 years. I pray its the right thing to do.
