The older I get, the more aware I become of how I walk that fine line between loving for love’s sake, and conjuring a love that is solely my own. It is the difference between love that is intentional, and love that has no intention. It is compassion toward the one who “loves, but,” and faith in the one who “loves, and.” It is spiritual love that transcends all things, versus an earthly love that is unique to all things.
What I have come to learn, however, is that surrender in love can be beautiful and liberating when we realize that love is meant to be beautiful and liberating. I can insist that love work in my favor, or I can show favor toward myself and to others when I decide to just love. I can manifest the love that I seek, by embodying love itself. Love is right and free and effortless when it is inspired. We rise in love when we refuse to fall for the misconceptions of love.
The Full Wolf Moon currently visible in tonight’s sky is in the sign of Leo – a sign that prides itself on genuine love. This moon signifies a deep hunger for love, reflecting the ways in which we might surrender to it. As the climax of this lunar cycle unfolds, we will be challenged to love to our heart’s content and our soul’s full. It serves as a reminder that the love we crave, can only be filled by the love that we give.
