If I have ever given you an Astrology reading, you would know that we are made up of more than just our Sun sign (also referred to as your Zodiac sign). On the day you were born, ALL of the planets, along with the Sun and Moon, were positioned in the signs of the Zodiac, and each planet means something specific to your personality. Our Sun sign describes our basic character – it is what everybody knows and it represents our ego self. Our Moon sign, however, describes our emotional character – all that makes us feel content and secure.
To date, my experience has been rather curious. Specifically, it feels like this: an Aries moon is a feisty and impatient moon, which describes my emotional temperament. Most astrologers would interpret the influence of Uranus as agitating, leading to sudden outbursts and impulsivity, and this could very well be my reality if I was living a life of emotional repression! Thanks goodness I’m not. But the effects have been quite potent – I feel more passionately. I am able to change my emotional responses in an instant, and that has been liberating.
We all have Aries somewhere in our astrological make-up, and thus, the energy of Uranus is inspiring some kind of rebellion in us all. It will be important, however, not to waste this energy by rebelling without a cause. You have to know what it is you are fighting for and the battle must be worthy. In fact, if the battle is worthy, it may not seem like a battle at all. Our Uranian experience does not have to be so unsettling. It is possible to take a more grounded approach toward liberation. Thankfully, the Taurus New Moon this Monday, May 18th, at 12:13a.m. EST will give us all the grounding we need.
P.S., Mercury will be retrograde starting this Monday through June 12th so don’t be surprised if there are few false starts to freedom! Check your horoscopes to see what’s in store for your Zodiac sign this week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign too.
