I don’t believe it to be a coincidence that a New Moon fell on Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. In keeping with solstice tradition journeying deep into the trenches of our darkest parts, how convenient for the cosmos to gift us with a New Moon, a symbol of hope for the future. The spring season is now just a few months away, and each day will get longer from here on out; the light of the Sun will shine a little brighter. But until then, we must sit with and embrace the shadow of the night.
The future is paved with better days. A broader consciousness will soon be made available to all. This comes courtesy of the planet Saturn now set to exit the sign of Scorpio, and enter the sign of Sagittarius on Wednesday, December 23rd. Saturn in Astrology shows us where we need to get real. Owning our shit was what Saturn demanded in the sign of Transformation, and now, living our truth will be what is demanded during Saturn’s trek through the sign of Enlightenment.
Saturn will remain in the constellation of Sagittarius until 2017, encouraging us to explore new ways of being in this world, not of it. The best use of this transit would be to question and expand upon personal philosophies for the sake of humanity. Honesty will be required, along with the willingness to step outside of any comfort zones. This is what the Universe has been up, and as always, it’s right on time.
