Life was meant for Living

Dying is easy. It’s living that scares me to death. ~A. Lennox

A Full Moon in Scorpio this Friday, April 22nd, will bring a permanent end or shift to our personal lives. Meanwhile, Mars retrograde in Sagittarius beginning this Sunday, April 17th, will force us to question truths, i.e., ‘what’s it all mean’ according to our own beliefs. These celestial events will occur in the early degrees of both signs, making the energy more potent. Because Scorpio is concerned with transformation, and Sagittarius, a broadened perspective, what we are left to surrender will be for our own good. Scorpio the Scorpion is a fixed symbol that releases toxins with a painful sting. Sagittarius the Archer is a mutable symbol; its bow is flexible while its arrow always hits the mark. Combined, the two symbols represent the departure from that which is stagnant or decaying, so that we might fill the space that remains with something far greater and more honest than our limited understanding.
This will be an experience that takes us within, because planets in retrograde encourage us to look deeply at ourselves. We are all up for an internal review, and since the red warrior planet Mars is action oriented, we will be assertive with our efforts (and hopefully, equally gentle). Mars is the co-ruler of Scorpio in Astrology, and Pluto its primary ruler. Pluto will also station retrograde in Capricorn, the sign of rules and structure; and so at once, a process begins of removing barriers that block self-discovery and life exploration. The Scorpio Full Moon this week will be the catalyst, so pay attention to what transpires.

By month’s end, Mercury will be retrograde too, in the sign of Taurus. This will intensify an inner dialogue, as our sense of security and certain creature comforts feel less accessible. Indeed, nothing in life is ever fully guaranteed, and turmoil will be inevitable as we begin to address narratives that need changing, priorities that need re-shuffling, and assumptions that need debunking. Stark realizations around where we have control will surface as our awareness peaks. We can no longer rely on what has always been when it comes to being accountable in our own personal lives, and this is especially true for the sake of the greater collective good.

The cosmos is currently rallying for us to wake and to live as if our stories have never been told. That we might look to each new day with wonder for what lies ahead so that our Souls can be free. Free from fear, skepticism, and hate. Free of stalemates that keep us un-integrated within. Free from the pain we inflict on ourselves, and each other. Free from our self-defeating ways. Go deep with your investigation, dear reader, and be brave. Know that what you find, no matter how scary or undesirable, is just another gem in the dark caverns of your imperfect self to be revered. Take a look at all that you are with a fresh set of loving eyes, and hold the world at large with that same loving gaze. Unravel, and be humble. Your life was meant to be lived. Live it uninhibited.

Mars will be retrograde through June 29th, dipping back into the sign of Scorpio on May 27th. Mercury will be retrograde in the sign of Taurus starting April 28th through May 22nd. Check your horoscopes
for the week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign.
