What Is Decayed,
 
You cannot stay.
Why are you still here? 

What do you need?
I have given you permission to leave
this body of mine plenty of times.

The anxiety you bring.
The fear that you perpetuate.

It is my choice to release you,
isn’t it?

Or do I hold on because you’re all that I know?
Am I afraid of what will replace you when you go?

Do I dare allow you to be replaced?
Or are we connected, somehow, someway, by fate?

Maybe it is you that cannot let go.

​Are you concerned about the person I would be
should you detach yourself from me?

Are we bound by some kind of Karmic memory?
No.

Although,
you have taught me so much,
I no longer wish to learn through pain, struggle or suffering.

I choose only those lessons inspired by love,
and what has decayed simply cannot love.

So, how about I love you?
I will love you until you cease to exist.

I will love you as love insists
that I love me.

Why are you still here?
You cannot stay,
