You are a fraud.
Not you, YOU.
You, who consistently comes up with excuses not to do something.
You, who self-sabotages.
You, who yells all kinds of foul play – the Universe did it; my boyfriend made me feel insecure;
my boss hates me.
You, who cannot make a move unless circumstances are just right.
You, who compares yourself to others.
You, who allows culture and society to dictate your next steps.
You, who tries to uphold standards that do not reflect your truth.
You, who is so accommodating that you lose sight of yourself.
You, the woman who denies her inherent divine gifts.
You, the man who refuses to evolve.
You, who bad mouths others because of your own low self-esteem.
You, who boasts about yourself because of your own low self-esteem.
You, who claims to be above feelings of guilt or shame.
You, the devout Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
You, who says “I’m fine.”
You, who is self-critical.
You, who criticizes others.
You, who tries to play the martyr.
You, who tries to play the victim.
You, the materialistic.
You, the rich, and You, the famous.
You, seeking attention on Facebook by bragging about how wonderful your life is.
You, who lies to him or herself, and to others.
You, who hurts people on purpose.
Anyone of you who claims NOT to be afraid.
You, the self-help expert and spiritual guru.
You, the overly ambitious.
You, the delusional.
You, the utopian.
You, who always plays it safe.
If your external reality does not match what burns at the core of your inner being, in the form of deep desire, passion, or a zest for living, then you are a fraud. Period. And because none of us are perfectly aligned with, or attuned to, our soulful selves, then that just means that we are all frauds to some extent.
Yes. We are all frauds trying to overcome adversity that blocks us from thriving in life. We all want to remove the masks we wear in order to truly connect and just be. We are all doing the work, some more than others, and the best that we can do, is often the best that we can do.
Be wary of those who claim to have all of life figured out, and be careful not to judge too quickly those who stumble along the way.
